Sisters In Crime

This week Cammie covers the murder of Gene Thurnau. Gailen Eugene (Gene) Thurnau (38), moves to Columbus, Nebraska, from Kansas City, taking a job as an air traffic controller. He's well liked, and fits in well at his new job. Another new member of the crew is 39 year old Bob Peterson, starting at about the same time as Gene. Bob doesn’t fit in with the crew nearly as well as Gene does. He was described as a quiet individual, not that he wouldn’t speak to anyone, but he was just more of a loner. Gene being the affable guy he is, makes small talk with Bob, and helps him feel included in the tight knit air traffic controller crew.
