Synopsis
#22: Today we talk about Maladaptive Daydreaming and how it has affected my life. Everyone daydreams, but Professor Eliezer Somer identified a much more acute version of daydreaming called Maladaptive Daydreaming. It's characterized by the following symptoms: Extremely vivid or elaborate daydreams, almost like stories Can be triggered by real life events Difficulty completing tasks Overwhelming desire to continue daydreaming Repetitive movements while daydreaming Facial expressions while daydreaming Whispering or talking to self while daydreaming Daydreaming for long periods of time This week was an interesting one to research and plan. Hope you find value in this one. Note: I'm not a doctor! Please do not take anything I say as medical advice. I'm just a girl with a laptop and a mic, trying to make interesting things. Much love xx ... Copyright-free music attributions: Intro: Take It Easy by Bad Snacks Outro: Hanging Out by Bruno E.
