What happened on the Day of Pentecost was not a one-time event. Again and again, throughout the later chapters of the Acts of the Apostles, we read of people receiving the Holy Spirit. Each time, there was a remarkable transformation. They were filled with a new dynamic power, and it became unmistakably clear that the Holy Spirit had changed their lives. When I received the Holy Spirit, He completely transformed me. That work has not diminished over the years; rather, my hunger for His presence has only grown stronger. Today, I need the Holy Spirit even more than I did when I first received Him at the age of fourteen. We must never be afraid to suffer for Christ's sake. For me, it is both an honour and a privilege. When I was imprisoned for smuggling Bibles, I reflected on the fact that the Father allowed His own Son, Jesus Christ, to be arrested, imprisoned, mocked, beaten, and tortured. Suffering for His name should not surprise us. In the book of Acts, the Lord said to Ananias concerning Paul, "I will show
