We continue our series called “Matriarchs of Christ.” Each week we look at a different woman that is listed in the genealogy of Jesus from Matthew’s Gospel. Our message today is “Rahab.” We reach back today into Joshua for the story of a woman that shows her intentions by her works. We hear about faith from unexpected places in unexpected ways. Our scripture readings come from Joshua 2:1-14, 6:22-25; James 2:20-26; and Matthew 5:14-16.
