Chris Chavez and Kyle Merber were joined by Olympic discus champion, '22 World Championship bronze medalist and '23 World Championship silver medalist Valarie Allman + coach Zebulon Sion in Budapest. Allman was favored to win the meet as the American record-holder and world leader but ended up taking silver with a 69.23m. Her Team USA teammate Laulauga Tausaga-Collins ended up winning and made history as the first American woman to win the gold medal in the discus at the World Championships. Just a day after the competition, Allman was already back at work and in practice. She sat down for this interview two days after processing the outcome and now turns her attention to defending her title at the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
