Montverde Academy rising senior Adaejah Hodge shook the track and field world when she won the New Balance Nationals Indoor 200m title in 22.33 seconds. The performance broke the previous record of 22.97 by Bianca Knight, which stood since 2007. Hodge also qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary later this summer, where she will represent the British Virgin Islands. She holds the BVI national records in the outdoor 100m (11.11s) and indoor 200m (22.33s). On Memorial Day weekend, we paid a visit to Clermont, Florida to witness her work on her powerful start and smooth stride alongside coach Gerald Phiri.  The 17-year-old has tremendous potential to become one of the best sprinters in the world.
