This Is What We Did

Andy & Gabe head back to Flushing Meadows but this time for the United States Tennis Open. They meet up with Tennis aficionado Vito Ellison (@vitoellison) who is attending the Open for the 16th consecutive year and check it out. The highlight of the night is a Rafael Nadal win, but that comes after Andy & Gabe both experience a professional Tennis event for the first time! 

Andy & Gabe meet up with Isaac Anglero (@zamborghinii) at the Hestor Street Fair in the Lower East Side and then head over to Meow Cat Cafe for an experience they've never had! 

Andy & Gabe finally head to the Beyond The Streets Exhibit in Brooklyn. They are joined by some very special guests, Andy's brother David plus his nieces 9 year old Hannah and  5 year old Nora. Well, Nora took a nap during the recording, but it was still fun! 

Andy & Gabe meet up with comedian and author Selena Coppock (@NYTvows) and head out on the Staten Island ferry. They take a sunset boat ride from Manhattan and then dine at the iconic pizza shop Pat & Joe's.  

Andy & Gabe team up with comedian Mateen Stewart (@mateenstewart) and head to New York City's Korea Town for an all you can eat Korean BBQ lunch at Let's Meat. Much meat is consumed and the trio overcomes their food hangover to talk about their lunch, international McDonalds, some dating tips, and more! 

Andy & Gabe meet up with Remy Kassimir, (@remykassimir) the host of the "How Cum" podcast, and G-Baby's cousin Noah Peralta (@nperalta97) at the New York Museum of Sex. They check out the entertaining gift shop and work their way through the exhibits. 

Andy and Gabe are back after a few weeks off! This episode, they head to the Barclay's Center with comedian Napoleon Emill (@napoleonemill) to watch Ice Cube's Big 3 on 3 Basketball tournament. 

Andy meets Gabe in Flushing Meadows Corona Park after Gabe completes the New York Road Runners Queens 10k. They walk all over the 897 acre public park and check out the buildings left over from the 1939/1940 and the 1964/1965 World's Fair. After that they head to the Jackson Hole Diner in Queens which is well known for its great food and the truck robbery scene in the iconic Scorsese film "Goodfellas." Andy & Gabe discuss this, then Gabe gives Andy a quiz to test how well he knows his hood slang. 

Andy & Gabe meet up with Paul Cooley (@pauldcooley) at the popular Chelsea Market in the Meat Packing district of New York City. They explore all the food options there while sticking to their weight loss challenge, and then go to the High Line for bit. The podcast goes over all of that and also features another episode of Gabe's street fighting tendencies. Plus, Gabe updates us on his McDonald's withdrawals and how the last time he ate there, he saw a some shit go down. 

Andy & Gabe head out on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to check out some art at Greenpoint Open Studios. They are joined by comedian Graham Kay (@instagrahamkay) and artist Thomas Spoerndle (@thomas_spoerndle). Artists all around Greenpoint Brooklyn open up their doors and show everyone what they're working on! We check out loads of art and even make some on our own! The discussion ranges from the art we like, how the art scene is Brooklyn is changing, and also how the neighborhood has changed. Gabe, a Bushwick Brooklyn native gives his personal insight on how his home has drastically changed in recent years as well! 

Andy & Gabe have been talking about it for a while, but now they are ready to take action! On this episode they talk to Hollywood trainer, Steve Lutsk (@lustktraining) who puts them on his proven 'Dad Bod Solution' program. Steve breaks down nutrition, workouts, and rest in a simple and easy way to understand. Andy & Gabe meet up with Flock (@dchiflock) in Coney Island. Flock's in town from St. Louis to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon. After his race, they all head to Nathan's Famous Hod Dogs, ride go-karts, grab some fried oreos, and check out the boardwalk. 

Andy & Gabe meet up with Neighborhood Steve for some Polish food at Little Poland in the East Village. Joining them are Rocco, This Is What We Did famous from all the G-Baby references, and Luisa. From little Poland the gang heads over to Toy Tokyo and Forbidden Planet to shop for collectables, comics, and figurines. The conversation then delves into the Pokemon tournament sub culture, which Andy and Steve know nothing about! 

Andy & Gabe meet up with comedian LeClerc Andre (@leclercandre) to go to Brooklyn for Hatian food. They're also joined by foodie Erin Shipley (@eshipstagrams). LeClerc, who's Hatian, guides everyone through the Hatian menu at La Caye in Ft. Greene. Afterward, they head to Chip in LIC for coffee and cookies! 

Andy & Gabe head over to Gotham Archery with Danny J from The Best Life Podcast. They take an archery lesson, then throw knives, and axes for an all around great time. They check out the exceptional instruments that belonged to such artists as Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Jett, Jimmy Page, Steve Miller, Metallica, and others. Andy, Gabe, & comedian Amy Shanker check out the Museum of Food and Drink in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for MOFAD's current exhibit, "CHOW: Making The Chinese American Restaurant."  

Andy & Gabe meet up with Shaun Latham, the $20 Chef of Barstool Sports (@shaunlatham, @20dollarchef) and head to the Lower East Side to check out Katz's Deli. They eat way too much at the restaurant that is not only known for its iconic scene in "When Harry Met Sally," but has been serving up hot corn beef and pastrami sandwiches on the corner of Ludlow and Houston since 1888. 

Andy & Gabe partake in a tour of New York City's oldest bars courtesy of Tommy Gimler from the dailyupperdecker.com. Tommy, his wife Katie, and 7 month old daughter Jojo meet up for the first part of the tour and also joining in is Desire Rico, @desirelllla. Unfortunately, Jojo only allows Tommy and Katie to come to the first two bars, and then she put the kibosh Tommy calling in on the pod. But, Desire stays for the whole tour and then sits down to record. The bar tour traverses lower Manhattan and consists of Pete's Tavern, McSorley's Old Ale House, Fraunces Tavern, The Dead Rabbit, Ear Inn, and White Horse Tavern.
