Synopsis
Mom life: were surrounded with the message that its the tired life, the no-time-for-myself life, the HARD life. And while it is hard and full of lots of servitude, the idea that motherhood means a joy-less life is something Im passionate about putting a stop to. Im on a mission to help you stop counting down the minutes till bedtime (at least most days). I want you to stop cleaning up after your kids childhood, and start being present for it - start enjoying it. I believe in John 10:10, that we are called to abundant life, and I know mothers are NOT excluded from that promise. Join me in conversations about simplicity, minimalism, and lots of other good stuff that leads to a life of less for the sake of enjoying more in motherhood. Im Allie Casazza, and this is The Purpose Show.

Ep 121: #AllieReadsOctober "Rise of the Truth Teller" by Ashley Abercrombie
02/10/2019 Duration: 55minI absolutely cannot wait for you to listen to this incredible, powerful conversation with Ashley Abercrombie. Ashley is a beautiful, amazing woman, and the author of the book, Rise Of the Truth Teller: Own your story, tell it like it is, and live with holy gumption. Ashley's story is powerful, and is also really heavy. You'll hear a lot of it in the podcast episode, but I would not recommend this book if rape or abortion are triggers for you. I want to be honest about that up front so that you can be aware of that. Even if you haven't experienced trauma or you're not one of the many, many women who have been raped or had abortions, come into this conversation with headphones, first of all, for your little ones to not hear, and with an open heart because there's so much goodness in here. I'm really honored that I get to air this conversation on my podcast. Everything we talk about in this episode can be found HERE: alliecasazza.com/shownotes/121 Learn more about your ad choices. Ep 120: Girl Talk with Bella
25/09/2019 Duration: 24minI get a lot of questions about how my family—especially my kids—feel about minimalism, my business, and how we live simply. I’ve had a lot of requests for a family-style interview. And I’m so excited for this episode because I’m sitting down with my ten-year-old daughter, Bella, and we’re having a fun girl-talk about our family, our way of living, and what she thinks about it all. Plus, you’ll get to hear a little bit about the business she’s starting as well. This is going to be so fun! Ep 119: The Power of the 15 Minute Reset
18/09/2019 Duration: 36minI was so excited to share this with you guys that when I recorded this episode I actually streamed it live on social media. I want to talk to you guys about the power in 15 minutes. I started doing these little 15 minute “resets” and they are total game-changers! How many times have you been going about your day and you feel like things are just not going well? You’re bickering with your spouse, your kids are acting crazy, the house feels like a total crap show and you’re really frustrated? You want to hit that reset button, but you also feel like you don’t have the energy to do that because you’re tired, drained and it’s going to get undone anyway. This 15-minute reset hack is going to pull you out of that negative spiral so you can take action and change the situation. I really think this can be applied to just about anything and everything. So, let’s jump in and talk about it! Everything I talk about in this episode you can find HERE: alliecasazza.com/shownotes/119 Learn more about your ad choices. Visi

11/09/2019 Duration: 20minEveryone has low days when you just feel tired, weary, lackluster, or defeated. In this episode I’m talking about how to deal with life when you’re in a slump. I want to be really honest with you and share practical things that you can do when you’re feeling that way. I hope that this helps you guys, that you feel like you could come back and listen to this to get some inspiration when you're really feeling uninspired. Let’s jump in! Ep 117: One Simple Shift Anyone Can Make to Have a Better Day
04/09/2019 Duration: 18minI want today’s episode to be a perspective shift for you guys. It's a really, really simple thing you can do to set yourself up to have a better day: Don't check your phone first thing in the morning. When you open your phone in the morning and you’re looking at your text messages, or your Instagram, or opening your email, you’re automatically giving away your power. In this episode I’m going to explain what I mean by that. There are habits that you need to break when it comes to your phones in order to set yourself up to have a better day. Let’s dive in! Ep 116: Everything Back-to-School, Totally Systemized & Simplified
28/08/2019 Duration: 01h01minThis episode is a little different. It is actually the audio from a live class that I led on social media. And it is jam packed with some serious value. I’ve got everything that you would need for the back-to-school season and beyond. This episode is about systems, organization, and a streamlined, simplified approach to handling incoming paperwork, email systems, extracurricular activities, routines & rhythms, meal planning, and how you decide what is worth your time and what isn't. So, whether you have school-aged kids or not, this should be helpful! Everything I talk about in this episode can be found HERE http://alliecasazza.com/shownotes/116 Learn more about your ad choices. Ep 115: Trial and Error: Ways I Tried to Simplify My Life
21/08/2019 Duration: 29minThis episode is fun to share. I don't try to simplify everything, but sometimes when something is taking a lot of time or feels a little bit too much, I'll ask myself, “How can I simplify this?”. I thought it'd be fun to see the “bloopers” side of simplifying because there are definitely some things that I've tried that I thought would simplify my life that just didn't. In this episode I’m sharing some of those things and talking about what I learned and how I adjusted. So, let's jump in! Ep 114: How My Morning Ritual Has Changed
14/08/2019 Duration: 25minThis is a sort of follow-up episode of one of the most popular episodes that I've ever done for The Purpose Show called “How My Morning Ritual Is Changing My Life.” I used to be really religious about doing my morning ritual. It was such a life-giving time for me. Then some things changed and my mornings looked different. This new episode is about how some things have shifted for me, what I've learned, and what my morning ritual looks like today. Ep 113: 3 Free, Powerful Ways to Water the Grass in Your Life Right Now
07/08/2019 Duration: 32minThis episode is actually the audio from a live stream that I did a while back about the quote “The grass is greener on the other side because it’s fake.” The response I got on this was so overwhelming. A lot of people found it really raw and impactful. Most people loved it, but it ruffled a few feathers too. This is one of those messages that needs to be shared and spread to the masses because it's so important. It’s so key, so impactful, and such a perspective shift. I’m excited for you to listen! Ep 112: Live Chat with Allie
26/06/2019 Duration: 44minI think social media can be such a waste of time and on those same platforms where so much time is wasted, I love creating spaces that are intentional and inspire you to be better. I have a free Facebook group that’s really big, really fun, really engaged. It's an attachment of this podcast, a place where we discuss episodes. Discuss abundant life, simplicity, and intentional living for mothers and women of all types. It's such a cool place. Once a month in that group, I do what is called an Allie Chat where I pull somebody out from the community there and we go live together. There was an Allie Chat recently with a woman named Christina who is just a gem. She asked such amazing questions about her motherhood. I loved the conversation we had and the audience loved the answers that I gave. It was such a powerful Allie Chat and I knew that I had to use it as an episode for The Purpose Show. Ep 110: Secrets For Navigating Busy Seasons Well
12/06/2019 Duration: 15minAnnie Dillard always says, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” That is an easy statement to hear when we are in restful seasons driven by balance and simplicity. But what about those seasons that are full, busy, and can lead to feeling overwhelmed, mentally cluttered, and a cranky attitude? It is important that we listen to our bodies and minds, and that we take it one day, even one step at a time. And it is freeing when we allow ourselves to become intuitive and make necessary changes and shift in busier seasons. Just know that everything is figureoutable and everything can be simplified. It is ok if you have to cut out or cut back on things. Life won’t end! EP 108: I Had "The Talk" with My Kid. Here's What I Learned.
29/05/2019 Duration: 28minThe talk. It isn’t just one talk, it is an ongoing conversation. It is an important conversation, a personal one, and one that will come as your kids start asking questions. My 10 year old started asking so we dove right into it. I knew the time was right and I felt confident to lead this conversation well based off the conversation Brian and I had as we prepared for this. There's so much negativity out there about talking to your kids about sex, so I wanted to add positivity to that pool and just say it doesn't have to be that way. It can absolutely be good, positive, constructive, helpful, sweet, silly and relaxed. I hope that this episode empowers you to do this well and to have a successful ongoing conversation with your child about sex, kissing, love and all that stuff. EP 105: Simple, Stellar Style: Everyday Wear Must-Have's
08/05/2019 Duration: 46minStyle and clothing should make you feel good, right? It should make you feel confident and put together. But so many times we say “I don’t have time to pick out my outfits” or “I’ll just throw this on.” This leads to negative thinking about how we look and ultimately impacts how we feel. It doesn’t have to be this way! One of my biggest goals in life is to put an end to the mom-frumping thing! Just because you are a mama doesn’t mean you stop caring about yourself use it as an excuse to not care how you feel about your clothes. Getting dressed can be fun, simple and you can totally have a stellar style! Let’s dive in! 17/04/2019 Duration: 32minI love learning and growing! It is a big part of the conversations I have here on the show. One of the biggest things I think we all struggle with is taking action on what we learn and actually following through on it. There is power in taking action on the things we are reading, learning, and hearing. If you find yourself learning things but struggling to take action on what you are learning, I got you friend! This episode is for you and I am going to help you figure out how to take action!
