Paul warns the Corinthian church to not concern themselves on WHO is teaching the scriptures but rather to focus on the scriptures themselves. Paul recognized the tendency with the Corinthian church was to be very prideful of themselves and their church, which was causing them to be more lenient with sin. "Don't go above what is written." Final judgement belongs to the Lord. It is not our place to judge anyone's heart because we can't. To be wise to the Lord is to be foolish to the world. The things that we believe, the things we hold to be true, are considered utter foolishness to those who don't believe. Something that is new to human history is that we as human beings, have the Holy Spirit in us. In all of human history, this is a phenomenon that has never been before. What is your foundation built with?  Are you building your foundation with the precious stones of Jesus Christ? What does Matthew want us to know about the birth of Jesus? Joseph is necessary to the birth so that Jesus is in the line of David. The virgin conception by the Holy Spirit is necessary to the birth so that Jesus is the Son of God.
