Paul warns the Corinthian church to not concern themselves on WHO is teaching the scriptures but rather to focus on the scriptures themselves. Paul recognized the tendency with the Corinthian church was to be very prideful of themselves and their church, which was causing them to be more lenient with sin. "Don't go above what is written."
