Welcome to episode 5 of the La Voix du LILA - Burbank podcast! Our special guest this week is Cinzia Angelini who is an artist, animator, director and writer. She joins us to speak about her film MILA(https://milafilm.com/) which has been a labor of love that has spanned 10 years to complete. The film has been accepted to many festivals around the world and received incredible recognition. She not only speaks about the film and her inspiration but also what it takes to become an animator in this competitive industry. Lincoln, Ms. Harvey, and Mr. Mondange also recap the important items from this week's Mosaïque and highlight some considerations about the drop-off and pickup times, travel during break, and the upcoming school photos. Welcome to our 4th episode of the year for La Voix du LILA - Burbank! Our guest for this week's podcast is new to the LILA community and our Burbank campus. Mr. Sobol, LILA's athletics manager, joins us to discuss the programs he is attempting to implement for the students this year and how he works to build on his philosophy of participation as key to student wellness. Mr. Sobol also announced some breaking news about additions to our training facility and sport teams. As the US took time last weekend to reflect on the 20th anniversary of the attacks of 9/11, Lincoln used the interview portion of this week's podcast to explore with Dr. Lehr and Mr. Mondange their personal experience of what it was like for them as they witnessed that day. Dr. Lehr's interview is not to be missed; his first-hand account of that day while living in NYC as a graduate student and his thoughts on how this event has changed how we live and its connection to other historical events is very interesting. Later in the podcast Lincoln and Mr. Mondange review a number of items from Mosaïque, as well as a number of activities and initiatives all students and families should be aware of for this school year. Lincoln, Ms. Harvey, and Mr. Mondange discussed many of the after-school activities and athletics programs that are now being offered at the Burbank campus. Be sure to sign up before it's too late. Ms. Harvey and Mr. Mondange shared updates on graduation, final testing, conseil de classe, and prom. On this week's episode, Lincoln welcomed Jessica who is a 9th grade student and the leader for the campus Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) group.
