The Denver Broncos have all the makings of a playoff team on paper, but it has to translate to the field. The regular season opener was full of poor execution and focus. While QB Russell Wilson overall proved his worth in his first game in orange and blue, other pieces of the team that were expected to be reliable and ready stumbled out of the gate. The offensive line and defensive line both leave cause for concern moving forward, with lackluster explosion off of the snap. Nathaniel Hackett very much showed as rookie head coach with poor decisiveness and game management. First of all, I applaud the NFL for staying the only major sport league to this point to not allow advertisements on their Gameday Uniforms. By all counts it will remain this way for the foreseeable future. However, the other major leagues MLB, NHL, and NBA all allow or will be allowing it. I think it's bad for the look of the major sports leagues and turns off a good portion of the fanbase. Plus I can't recall the last advertisement for a product on a gameday I've ever bought into and purchased just because of the advertisement. As bad as advertising on the NFL Gameday Jerseys would be for the NFL, in turn the very positive news coming out these days is the NFL allowing any team that wishes to bring out alternate or classic uniform/helmet looks to wear during the season.
