The Denver Broncos will be without John Elway in the building on a daily or weekly basis for the first time in a while. John Elway's time as a consultant has ended with the team, however this isn't really news as Elway has been hinting that it was coming to an end as he looks to do some other things with his life. Sean Payton continues to send the right message, that the Broncos are going to be a physical football team. It's clear he has a plan for winning and winning fast, while making sure the Broncos Facility is run as a winning culture without outside influence that may have existed in the past. Defensive Coordinator Ejiro Evero made it pretty well known he likely wasn't staying (outside of a possible head coach opportunity) in Denver. The Denver Broncos came to play in the season finale, and for a majority of the game it was against the Chargers Starting Line-up after many expected Los Angeles to rest their starters. The result was a fun back and forth game that Denver, thanks to key plays on offense and defense pulled out in the closing moments. Russell Wilson the last two weeks of the season has looked like the Russ we expected, while our other big names that are still healthy (Jeudy, Simmons, Jewell to mention a few) came to close the season out in fashion. The Denver Broncos got a well played efficient game from Backup QB Brett Rypien, a huge day on the ground from RB Latavius Murray, and another dominant performance from the Denver Defense to notch a team win at home. The Denver Broncos give a great effort and almost pull off the upset of the Chiefs. QB Russell Wilson went down a few minutes into the 4th Quarter with a scary concussion after getting driven into the ground on a quarterback run. However, you had the feeling that if Wilson hadn't gotten knocked out of the game, the Broncos would've completed the upset. The Denver Broncos Defense laid a big egg against the Baltimore Ravens Backup QB Tyler Huntley on the Ravens final drive of the game, resulting in a close loss in Baltimore. While the offense is still a work in progress, which will likely stay that way until a new coach is in place. The Broncos Defense shows again it's great on the stat board until crunch time.
