Winter is Coming®...hey! wait a minute, no it's not! It's only August and there's still plenty of shoddy theme night promotions at Guaranteed Rate Field! So Jack and Jeremy take in Game of Thrones night on the southside as the New York Yankees take on the Chicago White Sox. The guys jam pack a lot into this episode including plane crash survivors throwing out first pitches, more ridiculous video board presentations, sexy Larry Rothschild photos, the world's biggest A.J. Jack and Jeremy make their long awaited return to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field this week! In a first for the podcast, we find a Jeremy who's actually angry about baseball gameplay and not the fans...though, there's some of that too. We get a lengthy rant from him about Joe Maddon's bullpen and starting pitcher mismanagement. We hear a story from Jeremy about the late, great Yosh Kawano and a fake autograph ring perpetrated by himself, a childhood friend, and the friend's dad. The guys also talk about ballpark proposals, aisle etiquette, and some jerk who used the seats next to us as his own personal footstool. The guys are joined this week by friend of the show Ben Perkins (@allusedup2 on Twitter) to watch and discuss some of their favorite Baseball Videos! We run down some of the great baseball meltdowns, rants, and drunken moments captured for our eternal listening and viewing pleasure! Wally Backman and Terry Collins losing their minds, Lou Piniella ranting on Steve Stone, Rick Sutcliffe drunk on air, and THE classic George Brett video are just some of the videos we talk about in this ep! Jack, Jeremy, and Ben run them all down and give their insight on these audio gems. In what's becoming an alarmingly routine warning, things get a little graphic when discussing the George Brett video, but how could it not?! Jack and Jeremy head to Wrigley Field this week for the 2018 Under Armour All-America Baseball Game featuring the country's top high school stars! And the game did not disappoint, unfortunately, the unruly droves of inattentive, beer-sniffing little league parents did! Children running wild, adults behaving worse than the kids they paid so little attention to, and a put upon beer vendor whose knowledge of his own trade was being questioned right to his own face. These were some of the indecencies witnessed by the guys this week in the stands. Hear all about it in the animated, sailor-mouthed first half of the podcast (13:30). Before that, Jeremy has an unpleasant autograph seeking incident with a former MLB pitcher who was not having any of it (1:40). And finally, after addressing to the likes of "White T-Shirt Dad" and "Poodle Man", the guys moved their attention to the talent on the field and give their scouting reports on the numerous players in the game that could be potential 2019 MLB Draftees (36:45). T

The well never runs dry on the southside of Chicago and this week the guys meet, hands down, their biggest baseball weirdo to date - "The Informed Interloper"! Armed with a scorebook, an Oakland Athletics hat and lanyard, and a Yairo Munoz Cardinals shirsey, this ballpark oddball sidled his way next to Jack while Jeremy was up on his second dollar dog run of the game and what unfolded would be podcast fodder richer than Jack and Jeremy could ever dream of (8:24)! Hear all about our adventures with this uninvited guest, including a very human moment where the guys were forced to confront a fight or flight situation. Jack and Jeremy also chime in about the tv star of the game, "The Mustard Man", a couple of foul balls to a very sensitive area for Marcell Ozuna, and another Daniel Palka/Salsa mishap? From there they venture into stories about a group of wiseass teens trying to publicly embarrass their friend and a couple of vocal and rule-breaking bathroom patrons...and then eventually get around to talking about the game. They (try to) recap the ridiculous and confusing "Balkgate" situation involving Twins 3rd base coach Gene Glynn, James Shields, Rick Renteria, Paul Molitor, balks, ejections, and wishy-washy and sensitive umpires. Plus, more BEER VENDOR DRAMA!!! It's just business as usual on the southside of Chicago! Jack also gets a 10 second schooling about The Frugal Gourmet from Jeremy. This week Jack and Jeremy run down their lists of favorite players from their childhood, both hometown and out of town. But before that, Jeremy shares a tale of a World Series bet gone wrong(!) and gives a mini-update from the 6/18/18 Dodgers @ Cubs rain out, including a story of how he scared Cody Bellinger! Jack shares a stirring interview conducted with White Sox catching great Ron Karkovice and teaches us all about "The Cougar Train"! The guys also discuss who their NL Rookie of the Year is if the season ended today. Also(!!!!) Woo doggies do we have a jam packed episode for you this week! Jack and Jeremy took in two games for this one and are here to bring you the full reports! First up we have the 6/11/18 Cleveland Indians @ Chicago White Sox matchup! We hear about uninspired, generic White Sox fan chants, unlikely Knoxville, Tennessee resident Yan Gomes, and the sordid, secret world of beer vendor drama. Then the guys head to the west suburbs on 6/14/18 to see the class A Cedar Rapids Kernels @ Kane County Cougars. We meet some more ballpark oddballs in the stands, see a breakout performance by Alex Kirilloff, and discuss giving 19-year-old Royce Lewis his first sip of beer. This week Jack and Jeremy share their respective baseball bucket lists with each other and, well, it ends up turning into a bit of a brag-fest about events they actually have seen (at least for Jeremy). They also touch on the 2018 MLB Draft, Jack learns about Morganna - the infamous "Kissing Bandit", and we receive an update about Johnsonville Chorizo sausages from a listener.

Jack and Jeremy make their triumphant return to the great state of Wisconsin to see the New York Mets take on the Milwaukee Brewers. We hear about Jeremy's cheese curd quest, a dark story from Jack's past involving a scarring t-shirt toss fracas, and we meet our newest outspoken fountain of misinformation and mind-numbingly inane anecdotes, "The Eager Leaner"! Jack and Jeremy recap their first trip to a minor league game for the podcast as they ventured up to Wisconsin to see the Quad Cities River Bandits take on the Beloit Snappers. The guys discuss being recruited to participate in a pig calling contest, recap their run-ins with some autograph freaks, and talk about meeting Athletics prospects Austin Beck, Lazaro Armenteros, and Nick Allen. Dollar dogs, traumatizing Snappy the Turtle stories, and railing on Zack Cozart - we have it all here for your listening pleasure! Jack and Jeremy recap their Monday May 7, 2018 outing to Wrigley Field to see the Miami Marlins vs. the Chicago Cubs. They discuss their encounter with a Cubs Ballpark Operations worker who oddly resembled Oliver Platt and JB Pritzker, the lack of reception for Starlin Castro, and really lay into another unsuspecting player, this time it's Tyler Cloyd.
