Two of Ireland’s top football teams are taking part in events in support of the LGBTQ + community. Bohemians will be the first professional team participating in the Pride parade in June and Shelbourne FC will host the Gay Football Supporters Network Cup Final on May 28TH at Tolka Park. People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett and Independent TD Mattie McGrath joined Andrea to discuss a tweet put up by Aodhan O’Riordan that outlined how much of a part religious tradition exists in Irish life. Aodhan explained that he had worked in the public service for 22 years as a teacher, principal and Oireachtas member and, every single work day had begun with a prayer. On yesterdays show Sinead Ryan joined Andrea for the Consumer Corner where she discussed the high cost of  car rentals in Ireland. Jacqueline got in touch with the show from France and told Andrea she had decide not to visit Ireland on holiday because of the increase in prices. Horses in Killarney could be asked to wear special shoes as councilors look for a solution to the damage hooves are doing to local roads. Cathy Gibbons, a pediatrician working in Temple Street hospital, was called in last night to attend to a critically ill child. Due to limited parking spaces, she left her car outside the hospital paying for the maximum stay. However, her day became a twelve hour day and she left to find her car had been clamped. This was her third time being clamped at work. Vegetarians are being ‘left behind’ by restaurants who are dropping meat free options like omlettes and quiche for vegan options that exclude cheese, butter and eggs. The UK’s Vegetarian Society say they are receiving complaints that traditional vegetarian options are being replaced by vegan dishes.
