There are many things that shape the Christian faith but most of those things are pale in comparison to the two distinct days known as “Good Friday & Resurrection Sunday.” Good Friday is the day that Jesus offered his life as a sacrifice for all of humanity. As Christians it’s relatively easy to appreciate what Jesus did on Friday because without it we have no hope to have a relationship with God. But what about Sunday? What makes Sunday so important? We know why Jesus had to die, but why did he have to be resurrected? Why did he need to triumph over death in such a powerful way and what are the implications of that resurrection for humanity? Why should the Resurrection be important to you and I?
