    In a recent podcast with David Redding (cofounder of F3 Fitness) we talked about an acronym that David came up with, CSAUP. These are workouts that are Completely Stupid And Utterly Pointless and is something that they put into the F3 workout routine. The definition of a workout that is CSAUP is when you tell someone what you are doing and they say, “I don’t get it…” Despite the name, I do think that there is a purpose for doing workouts like this (like a Tough Mudder) and I think they create a lot of value. While they might be completely stupid, they aren’t utterly pointless. The reason that I choose to put events like this on my schedule is because it stretches you. I believe that you thrive on the edge of your comfort zone. Growth happens when you get to the edge of your comfort zone and keep pushing through.     David Redding (DRedd), a lawyer, and his close friend Tim Whitmire cofounded a fitness group called F3 Fitness. Starting back in 2011 the group was located in North Carolina and started off immediately overflowing the capacity. The group quickly split into 3 workout groups and has continued to grow in a similar fashion. DRedd grew up in Connecticut and attended Boston University where he was apart of the ROTC program. After that David moved down south and did 9 years in the army, half infantry and half special forces. After that he attended Wake Forest Law School where he met his wife. F3 is a an incredible network of workouts for men that spans all over the nation. Their mission is to grow to serve small workout groups for men and to cultivate male community and leadership. It had started out in North Carolina in 2011 and quickly grew to more than 26 states and 1,400 workouts a week.     Tripletail are a prehistoric looking fish that like to float next to debris or trap balls. There are several ways to fish for them including Flyfishing, live bait and lures. I have found a few other techniques that have caught fish that used to simply leave me frustrated. Join me today to discuss some tactics that might help you convert a shot to a beautiful Tripletail fillet on the plate. The Tripletail don’t seem to be able to see as well as other kinds of fish (like permit) because they have tiny little eyes. Because of that you will need to throw fairly close to the Tripletail. It can swim pretty fast once you hook it, but it doesn’t seem like it can swim fast over a long distance. So you need to be prepared for a short burst, but that is all. You can use shrimp, but I really like using flies. This is because you can make a cast, and if it is not where you want it to be you don’t have to reel it all the way back in and recast.
