This week’s “A Reagan Forum” will be spent honoring President Reagan, who would have turned 108 on February 6th. We will be listening to past remarks from special guests at the Reagan Library, and even a few words from President Reagan himself. If you listened to our February 7th Reagan Forum podcast you might recall that President Reagan used to always joke it was an anniversary of his 39th birthday. Why, you might ask? Well….you'll find out why!

In this week’s “A Reagan Forum” we go back to February 9, 2019 when former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie came to the Reagan Library to discuss his brand new book, “Let Me Finish: Trump, the Kushners, Bannon, New Jersey, and the Power of In-Your-Face-Politics," and to set the record straight about his tenure as a corruption-fighting prosecutor and a Republican running a Democratic state, as well as his frank insights and experiences with President Trump.

President Reagan loved his birthday. He always joked it was an anniversary of his 39th birthday. This February 6th would have marked the 69th anniversary of his 39th birthday. Since President Reagan’s passing on June 5, 2004, the Reagan Foundation has worked with United States Marine Corps Camp Pendleton to hold a birthday celebration on February 6th of each year to honor the life and legacy of our nation’s 40th president. Each year the program includes live musical entertainment from the 1st Marine Division Band, an honor guard, a rifle guard, and the official laying of the White House Presidential Wreath on President Reagan’s gravesite. Keynote speakers in prior years have included Rudy Giuliani, Elizabeth Dole, James Baker, and Sam Donaldson. In this week’s A Reagan Forum podcast, we listen in to the ceremony held on February 6, 2019 with keynote speaker Senator Jon Kyl.

In this week's "A Reagan Forum" we look back to March 2, 2017 when Chief Warrant Officer 5, Gary Linfoot, US Army Retired, spoke at the Reagan Library. Gary has over 23 years of military service, including serving as a member of the Army's elite 160ᵗʰ Special Operations Aviation Regiment. In June of 2008, while conducting operations in Iraq, Gary's helicopter suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure and crash-landed. As a result, Gary suffered a broken back and was instantly paralyzed below the waist. He retired from the Army in 2010 but continues to serve the Night Stalker community as an A/MH-6 Simulator Flight Instructor. Flash forward to 2013 when Gary became the first military recipient of an EKSO exoskeleton for home use through a grant from the Infinite Hero Foundation, allowing Gary to walk again.

In this week's "A Reagan Forum" we look back to January 29, 2014 when former United States Defense Secretary Robert Gates came to the Reagan Library to discuss his brand new book, "Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War," a strikingly candid and vividly written account of his experience serving Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In this week's "A Reagan Forum" we look back to November 17, 2017 when television and radio host Laura Ingraham came to the Reagan Library to discuss her book, "Billionaire at the Barricades: The Populist Revolution from Reagan to Trump."

The Reagan Foundation has been very honored to have hosted Karl Rove at the Reagan Library many times. In this week's A Reagan Forum podcast, we go back to March 26th, 2010, for Karl Rove's discussion on his new memoir, "Courage and Consequence," a candid and behind-the-scenes view of some of history's turbulent and momentous years.

On November 30 and December 1, 2018, the Reagan Foundation and Institute held its annual Reagan National Defense Forum, allowing senior leaders from the defense community to come together with viewpoints on how best to deal with growing threats to our national security. This year's theme was Peace Through Strength in an Era of Competition, and its keynote address was delivered by the U.S. Secretary of Defense, the Honorable James Mattis.

In this week's A Reagan Forum podcast, we go back to November 12, 2018, for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly installed Gold Star Families Memorial Monument, honoring the families of servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives while serving in the military.

In honor of the Christmas Holiday, today's A Reagan Forum podcast is dedicated to the ways in which the Reagan Library celebrates the season. Since the Library's opening, the Museum has hosted a Christmas Tree Exhibit from mid-November through the first week of January. But, this year, we have also added a brand new nighttime touring experience called Holiday Lights at the Reagan Library. Happy Holidays!

In this week’s “A Reagan Forum” we travel back in time to November 28, 2012 when former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich joined us at the Reagan Library to discuss his new book, “Victory at Yorktown.”  This was Speaker Gingrich’s fourth time to speak at the Reagan Library, although he came back many times after, as well.
