Aperture Hour Podcast

This week, the crew continues the topic of great Halloween movies. This time, Tim comes up with some of his favorites. Also, he gets really confused about the new trivia rules. Then we find out that Chad really likes candy and hates children. Not really. But sort of. 

This week, the gang gets their October on! Chad runs through his picks of Halloween classics, Tim praises the V/H/S films, and Ashley promises she'll never ever watch an Ernest movie. Also discussed: New Joaquin Phoenix Joker footage surfaces, rave reviews for the new Halloween film, and... Jon Hamm as Batman? 

This week, Chad and Tim talk about many things: Venom's PG-13 rating, Henry Cavill out as Superman, Joaquin Phoenix's first Joker photo surfacing, the new movie Mandy starring Nicolas Cage. Also, they recall their movie theater days and tell tales of how they used to kick out unruly teenagers. Plus, Chad takes on Tim's trivia challenge - "Is this movie real or fake?" 

Animated Disney flicks are the best. But you know what would make them cooler? If they were live-action films. If they were live-action horror films. That's right! This week, the gang picks their favorite Disney classics and reimagines them as horror movies. Also, Chad continues his epic Game of Thrones marathon, Ashley and Tim finally see Hereditary, and Tim reads his creepy fan letter to Johnny Depp. 

There's nothing like a movie with a great plot twist. Primal Fear, The Sixth Sense, and Shutter Island are among some of the movies discussed. Minor spoilers. Maybe. Okay, we probably spoil everything. Also, Ashley and Tim watch Deadpool 2, and Chad relives the magic of midnight movie screenings from when he used to work at the local movie theater. 

In celebration of that time of year when we send the kids back to school, the gang also heads back to school! They discuss their favorite movies about education institutions, everything from Good Will Hunting to Mean Girls, Old School to Scream. Also, Tim crank calls his brother, Ashley watches Age of Adeline, and Chad admits to watching Clueless, A LOT. 

Remember the Titans. Rudy. The Longest Yard. Chad loves football but isn't a fan of football movies. Tim loves every football movie ever made. Also this week, Ashley and Chad reenact a scene from Titanic, Tim watches The Last Sharknado: It's About Time, and the gang competes in football movie trivia. 

Everyone says remakes are the worst. Well, this week, the gang gets controversial and discusses movies that should be remade. Topics range from Stephen King adaptations to Dracula, and include such films like The Goonies and Army of Darkness. Also, Tim watches Rampage, Chad has news about the 2019 Oscars, and Ashley admits to seeing Overboard 200 times. Plus, movie remake trivia! 

In honor of THE MEG coming out, the gang decides to discuss their favorite shark movies, everything from the whacky to the weird, the good and the bad, and everything in between. We also find out that Ash hates shark movies, Chad really likes JAWS 4, and Tim likes basically anything that has sharks in it. Also: Chad reviews Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Hans Zimmer: Live in Prague. Plus, everyone talks about Castle Rock on Hulu. And don't miss shark-themed trivia! 

This week, Tim decides to wing it and come up with the topic at random. Chad runs through his 5 favorite action films of ALL-TIME. Also, Chad giggles his way through the ad copy, the two briefly discuss the James Gunn controversy, and an intense debate ensues over the question, "Is DIE HARD 2 the best DIE HARD?"

This week, Chad and Tim break down the most important trailers from Comic Con: Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Glass, Aquaman, and SHAZAM! Also, Tim finally watches A Quiet Place and Chad fumbles his way through another grueling trivia challenge.

To celebrate The 4th of July, the Aperture Hour gang talks about the most notable movies that take place on Independence Day... starting with Independence Day. Also in this episode, Ashley creates a new catchphrase, Tim watches Mohawk on Netflix, and Chad gives a stellar review of Supernatural's pilot episode. Trivia this week puts Tim and Ashley against each other; the loser has to do something very embarrassing during their 4th of July family party. Don't miss it! 

This week, the gang debates whether or not Tom Cruise is a good actor. Chad loves him. Everyone else is indifferent. In the end, Chad and Ashley square off in Tom Cruise Trivia; the loser has to "spin the bottle." Also, Ashley and Tim go see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Chad tries to start a Tom Cruise fan club, and Tim tries to explain his love for The Muppets to his co-hosts.

Also, Tim watches The Killing of a Sacred Deer, Chad sees Tomb Raider, and Ashley binges on Jersey Shore. Plus, the gang highlights the Jurassic Park franchise in preparation for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Ashley learns how to hum. 

This week, the gang breaks down the new movie trailers for Halloween, Widows, Bumblebee, Suspiria, Kidding, Bad Times at the El Royale, White Boy Rick, A Star Is Born, and The Girl in the Spider's Web. Also, Chad tries to seduce his co-hosts, Tim draws a picture, and Ashley hates on Hollywood hunks Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling.  

This week, Tim and Chad get back into the swing of things after a brief hiatus. They discuss some upcoming movies and TV shows, Internet rumors and speculation. Chad watches a ton of movies over their break, and Tim falls asleep watching Joe Dirt 2. Also, Tim eats an entire pizza.

Also, Chad checks out A Quiet Place and Tim watches the first episode of WESTWORLD Season 2.
