  • Getting your music heard through Collaborations Jax Daily Social Blade Ep 2

    25/02/2020 Duration: 28min

When you were first starting out it's not easy to get people to listen to your music because nobody is searching for it. One of my favorite ways in establishing a new artist is through collaborations. Getting your music heard with Collaborations allow new people to access the networks and fans of established people but you can't expect something that offers you that much value to be free. If you want to collaborate with someone make sure that you are engaged on their fan base and social media pages for at least a month before you ask them to do something for you. Learn about what they stand for and how they choose their collaboration. The next thing you want to do is establish value and credibility as a musician Ask yourself if the person you want to collaborate with offers more value than you do. • The Black Eyed Peas show us how a song hits the top 100 chart

    23/02/2020 Duration: 30min

Do you know what makes a song take flight? With the thousands of songs being released these days, this story tells the tale of months of PR coming together to bring a hit to the charts. . After spending nearly a decade on the pop sidelines, once-unavoidable pop-rap group The Black Eyed Peas are back in the Hot 100's top 40 this week for the first time since 2011 -- and it's not with a song that anyone would've predicted any part of marking the group's comeback when they first went on chart hiatus. "RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)," which moves 44-36 on the chart this week, is the group's slow-burning crossover collab with reggaetón superstar J Balvin, which samples the massive chorus hook to Corona's '90s dancefloor-filler "The Rhythm of the Night." And as its subtitle suggests, the song is the lead single from the third installment in the Bad Boys film series -- an old-fashioned soundtrack hit which we don't see so often these days, but which the franchise is already very familiar with.
