Through the cleansing of a leper and the forgiveness of sins and healing of a paralytic Jesus showed He is willing and able to save all who come to Him in faith. Jesus is able to touch the untouchable, to deliver from the curse of sin, and provide eternal life to all who trust Him. No matter how hopeless you feel, there is always hope for all in Jesus

Followers of Jesus Christ with genuine faith cannot ignore our need to confess and repent of our unbelief which hinders obedience. Many genuine Christians have yet to enter into the rest offered by Jesus Christ through faith, and all need to take warnings against unbelief to heart.

Jesus went in the power of the Holy Spirit to Nazareth and was rejected, but in Capernaum had many fans of His authoritative preaching. Jesus desires more than fans but friends: people who love, obey, and follow Him. Are you a friend of God who leads people to Jesus?

After Jesus was filled with the Spirit He was led to the wilderness to be tempted by Satan for 40 days. Jesus passed the brutal test by submission to God and held forth the Word of God as His defense. Having been tempted without sin, Jesus is able to help those who are tempted and sympathises with our weakness. He is our Way of escape and salvation!

Requiring proper identification foils imposters and provides credibility for those with rightful authority, and Jesus Christ has been identified by the almighty God (using multi-factor authentification!) as the promised Messiah. Jesus said those who follow Him in truth would be identified by the love of God displayed in their lives for one another.

Good preparation plays an important role in all successful endeavours. John the Baptist was sent by God with a baptism of repentance for remission of sins to prepare the way for Jesus who would baptise with the Holy Spirit and fire. Having received Jesus by faith Christians are prepared for the trials which God uses to refine us.

Joseph and Mary supposed Jesus was in their company, yet they were mistaken. Supposing or assuming we know best leads to anxiety and sorrow, but knowing God through a relationship with Jesus Christ results in peace and rest.

God thought of everything we He created us, and He also knows we sinners need a Saviour. Jesus, the consolation and glory of Israel, has been sent to seek and save sinners who look for redemption. Let us look to Jesus in faith, thank God, and tell others about Him.

We each have a race set before us, but there can be obstacles in the way that must be removed which prohibit us from living a life pleasing to the Lord. Let's "put on" endurance, accept discipline, and keep our eyes set on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are you thirsty for Good News? For all eternity there will be no better news than Jesus Christ coming to earth to seek and save sinners. Unto us is born a Saviour who is Christ the LORD! Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

By His grace God has chosen to partner with people to accomplish His glorious plans. Zacharias, Elizabeth, John, and Mary were all filled with the Holy Spirit and praise unto God for His faithfulness. In a world of darkness and death the Light of the world would shine in an unexpected Way.

The Gospel of Luke begins with the angel Gabriel revealing God's plans to Zacharias and Mary, both who were troubled at the unexpected revelation of God. This passage is a great reminder that God answers prayers and with God nothing will be impossible. When we are troubled are we willing to trust God and rejoice in His Word?

God would use the Assyrians to cut down, thresh, and sift His people like a farmer does grain. This was done not to destroy His people but so they could be restored to fellowship with Him. God preserved a faithful remnant which has continued to produce fruit that remains to this day and forever by His grace.

Amos spoke the word of God to people who were hardened against it, and God still speaks to all through His Word today. God's people had rejected His covenant, but even in the face of judgement the light of hope believers have in Jesus shines. Those who receive God's Word with faith will be led in His good Way.

Through the prophet Amos God pronounced woe upon Israel and also showed him several visions of the future. His grief for the nation moved Amos to pray and God graciously relented. Because of our good and sovereign God one person who prays makes all the difference.

Through the prophet Amos God urged His people to seek Him and live. Judgement would come to the nation for their sin, but individuals who repented and sought the LORD had great hope of help and salvation in Him. Those who fear God ought to seek Him because our lives depend on Him

Amos pronounced judgement upon the northern kingdom and God chastised people He loved with the desire they would return to Him. Though God judged Israel by the Assyrians, sin in nations and people calls for judgement today. God's call to "Prepare to meet your God!" is like the roar of a lion all people ought to heed in repentance, humility, and faith.

In the last days there will be many false teachers who creep into the church unawares. Not only ungodly teachers but who will use the grace of God as a license to sin and also who deny the true God. Be diligent and don't be deceived. Contend earnestly for the faith.
