Earth-2.net: The Show

It's episode 100, baby! The big one we've been working towards for a year and a half is in the books, and we celebrated the occasion by covering all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! In a marathon of epic proportions, Jenny and Mike reviewed all four feature films. Never have they spent so much time discussing one topic, but the Turtles deserve such an honor (even if two of the films should be erased from the collective consciousness). Not only that, but Ian, Kellen, Desmond and D.W. all contributed to the Turtle lovefest. If you ever loved the Turtles, this is the episode you've been waiting for!

Episode 100 is almost here! In case you've missed our previous announcements, another is made concerning 100 and 101! Beyond that, Mike has a rather long rant about "pompous bums," followed by Ian's thoughts on Spider-Man 3.

Though they agree that Spider-Man 3 was rather lackluster, Jenny and Mike vehemently disagree on the characterization of Mary Jane. (One thinks she's an unsympathetic character portrayed by a hack actress who doesn't resemble the part. The other believes MJ epitomizes how young women think and act.) When that's all said and done, Desmond Reddick pops in with another installment of Dread Media. Also: Episodes 100 and 101 are right around the corner, and we need your help!

Jenny reveals where she's been these last few weeks, then the duo moves into discussing the May Previews. Plus an announcement is made about Episode 100!

In an effort to better grasp the DC Universe, Mike recently read Justice League of America #0-8, Justice Society of America #1-4, World War III #1-4 and 52 #50. Which series stood head and shoulders above the rest, and which one stunk up the joint? It's not what you think!

Mike and Jenny have very different opinions concerning 300, leading to a lengthy discussion about the film and its theme. Afterwards Ian reviews Ghost Rider. Plus Mike makes a huge announcement.

Wait a second! Mike's glad his car was broken into? He's not boiling over with rage? Oh... kay! That little conundrum aside, it's time for the April Previews. And there's talk about boobies.

There's lots of post-Civil War comic book talk in this episode, including discussions about Iron Man #15, Captain America #25, Civil War: The Confession, Civil War: The Initiative and The Mighty Avengers #1. There's also a frank dialogue about how the media handled the major news spawning out of Captain America #25, and what the comic book industry can do to entice the masses.

In the first of a multipart series, Mike and James reviewed the inaugural five episodes of Batman: The Animated Series. Thanks to its moody approach, orchestral score and deep characterization, the show is considered a classic. However, only one of the five episodes demonstrated the full potential of the series. Which one was it, who did Mike call "the greatest character in all of TV" and how is "Pretty Poison" like A Tale of Two Cities?

Otakus rejoice! You get not one but two full hours of anime talk. First Kellen reviews Fullmetal Alchemist, then he's joined by his friend Randy for a lengthy Gundam SEED discussion.

Months in the making, our final Civil War episode has arrived! Who got his face smashed in? Who made a surprise appearance? And, most importantly, who won?

Jenny's back! As if that wasn't enough reason to listen, there's a discussion about reading, UFC 68 spoilers and the March Previews.
