Two Wiffle Dudes Podcast Network

The Dudes reunite for the first time in 2016 and start off the podcast by naming some of their bold wiffle predictions for this year. They then interview Patrick Rayl, incoming Huntington Wiffleball League Commissioner. Patrick has some outside the box ideas for the next HWL season, that many leagues should take notes on. First person to name the David Bowie instrumental song used throughout the show wins a prize.

Episode 9 broke all the rules...wut? Anyways, for this episode I called up some old WSEM buddies and Tomkins, and we conducted a WSEM Mock Auction Draft using a pool of 28 players from the 2015 season. The actual captains and keepers were obviously not in the draft pool, and teams drafted 3-4 players to complete their pre-rookie draft rosters. It went pretty well, some guys went for too high, some were bargains, and the Wicked Aces were wickedly screwed. Carl replaced Josh with Stephen Farkas, and they started the show by breaking down the Elite 8 matchups in the Ultimate Mock NWLA Tournament Championship. After that, Carl and Farkas interviewed the OCWA co-commish, and manager of the legendary NWLA Tournament team, OCWA Freaky Franchise. The Dudes continued the trend of talking with a wiffler who plays in multiple leagues, this time with Zach Artim, member of both the SRL and BWBL in Pennsylvania. Zach was the Ace pitcher for SRL Hotel Sterling in the 2015 NWLA Tournament, and he talked about his history with the sport, and who he may play for in 2016. The show opened up with Stephen Farkas who plugged his new YouTube show, as well as inputting his $12 Stud NWLA Tournament team. It wasn't a super long show, so give it a listen, shall you?

The Dudes reunited and opened up the show by breaking down the play-in round of the Ultimate Mock NWLA Tournament Championship (see link below). They then interviewed real person, Derek Dust, member of both the HRL Marlins and Shed Field Padres. Stephen Werner filled in for Josh Smith as co-host, so Carl started the show by asking him some hard hitting questions. After those shenanigans, the Dudes interviewed Kris Morse, member of the Hudson Valley and Palisades Wiffleball Leagues. We talked about Kris' celebrity neighbor, his winter indoor wiffleball league, his toughest competition in NWLA Tournament play, and much more!

Sam Skibbe, the man in charge of the NWLA website gave us the honor of announcing the award winners of the eight most prestigious Wiffys. Sam, Josh, and I named the nominees, discussed who we thought should win, and then Sam would announce the winners. There were some obvious winners, surprising winners, and Carl was drunk. The dudes found some wiffle stuff to talk about during a time when wiffle isn't being played. They talked about the new NWLA website, picked out their wiffle Mt. Rushmores, and broke down the Top 5 Large League Rankings. After that, they interviewed former ORWBL Commissioner and Director of the Hometown Days City Championship Wiffleball Tournament, Koby Keck. It was a long one. Carl gets talkative when drunk. He also had the hiccups. Still a good show though ;)

The Dudes get back together and talk about some of their favorite wiffle characters they both played with and against, and some from other leagues across the nation. They then interview Commissioner of Wiffle in Southeast Michigan, Brandon Corbett.

Carl and Josh introduce themselves, then talk to the man now in charge of the NWLA website. After that, they interview 2015 NWLA Tournament MVP Jimmy Cole.
