Mr. Faulkner is the author of the critically acclaimed bestseller, "Naked Emperors; The Failure of the Republican Revolution. He advises numerous corporations on strategic change and leadership including, the American Management Association and the World Bank. In 1995, Scot Faulkner was elected the first Chief Administrative Officer of the U.S. House of Representatives.  Mr. Michael Pento serves as President and Founder of Pento Portfolio strategies.  He is a well-established specialist in markets and economics and a regular guest on international media outlets.  He is also the author of the book "The Coming Bond Market Collapse:  How to Survive the Demise of the U.S. Debt Market". 

The housing bubble tanked the economy, but now we have an auto loan bubble, student loan bubble and credit card bubble.  Housing in many markets are still historically high and being purchased with low interest rate mortgages.  What will happen if one, or all, of these bubble pop?  Will we wish for the good ole' days of 2008?  Our government attempts to convince us that we can defy the law of economics and the laws of nature without consequence.  All I know is that, in life, there is no such thing as a free lunch.  I can't imagine the consequences of our foolish financial tinkering.  Let's discuss this more in depth.

Peter Conti-Brown is an assistant professor at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A financial historian and a legal scholar, Conti-Brown studies central banking, financial regulation, and public finance, with a particular focus on the history and policies of the US Federal Reserve System. He is author of the book The Power and Independence of the Federal Reserve (Princeton University Press 2016), the editor of two other books, and author or co-author of a dozen articles on central banking, financial regulation, and bank corporate governance.

Bryan Caplan is Professor of Economics at George Mason University and blogger for EconLog. He is the author of The Myth of the Rational Voter, named "the best political book of the year" by the New York Times, Selfish Reasons to Have More Kids, and The Case Against Education, forthcoming in 2017 from Princeton University Press. He is currently working on All Roads Lead to Open Borders, a non-fiction graphic novel on the philosophy and social science of immigration, and Poverty: Who To Blame. Mr. Peter Van Buren is a 24-year veteran of the U.S. Department of State. He spent a year in Iraq. Following his book, We Meant Well: How I Helped Lose the Battle for the Hearts and Minds of the Iraqi People, the Department of State began proceedings against him. Through the efforts of the Government Accountability Project and the ACLU, Buren instead retired from the State Department with his full benefits of service.  We will be discussing his latest book Hooper's War:  A Novel of WWII Japan which I find relevant today.
