We are back for episode 178! We were a bit loopy this episode, so prepare your ear holes for chaos. Mitch then kicks off the news this week with Honda potentially reviving the S2000 for 2024, based heavily on the FK8 Civic Type R, but rear-wheel drive, Mitch and Matt then argue over whether Mitch should get a 200 Series. Mitch then rants about a particular chinese-made trailer company that features often on a particular Australian four-wheeling YouTube channel, before Mitch talks about Volvo going entirely electric in the near future; dropping all internal combustion engines from their range. Joseph then talks about the 2021 model up date for the Kia Stinger, which includes a whole extra 2kw of power! Joel then has news/stats about used car prices being up 32%, and that the used car prices are a massive bubble, and then we argue about Aston Martin V8 Vantage Vs. Porsche 911. We're back for episode 177! This week we start off with a bit of bollocks, as per usual, before Joseph kicks start the News. The first bit of news this week is the wonderful announcement from Audi that they're dropping their Formula E campaign, and will be returning to Le Mans endurance and Dakkar. Mitch then talks about Porsche teasing the new (992) 911 GT3 RS! It will be a 4.0L naturally-aspirated flat 6, with an optional manual transmission, among other improvements over the out-going 991 generation GT3. We then talk about a Porsche GT2 RS smashing the production car lap record at Mount Panorama during 'Challenge Bathurst'. Matt then gets us to have a conversation, by starting off by making it a game... Of sorts. We then end with a different take on the Forza-style engine swap game we played from a few weeks back; this week, we have to pick a 6-cylinder engine to put into a current production car. Hey, would you look at that? This week we're up ontime! We kick off the news with the marketing release of the 2022 Subaru BRZ, larger engine, marginally larger body, no official word on pricing or availability. We then talk about Lotus coming out with a bloody SUV... Colin Chapman must be rolling in his grave, and Joseph talks about a new Hemi-powered Jeep Wrangler that will only be sold in America, and the GR Yaris is sold out until end of next year; not including the 'Rallye' variant. This week, it's just Mitch, Joseph and Joel. We start off with talking absolute nonsense before breaking into a bit of news. The first bit of news we talk about is about the Governor of California signing a bill to ban the sale of Internal Combustion Engines as of 2035, from which all cars will have to be "emission free". From which, we talk about our love for Internal Combustion Engines and more-or-less our dislike of electric cars. We then talk about adding to our respective tool collections, specifically Joseph is looking at getting an air impact, and Joel's dead Z32. Mitch then reads off a list of 5 uber rare, and uber expensive, classic cars for sale right now in Australia, from which we talk about our love for 80's, 90's, and early 2000's Japanese cars as the new BMW's have far too much technology for their own good. We're back for episode 167! This week we actually have some car news to talk about, which is a nice change of pace given the year that 2020's been. Mitch then starts the news part of the pod with Nissan dropping photos of the 'Z Proto', and that Volkswagen is close to selling Bugatti to Croatian company Rimac in exchange for a bigger share of the company. Matt then has news about a new special edition to the Ford Ranger, which comes with a 1" lift from factory as 32" tyres. We then discuss at length the announcement from Toyota Australia the pricing for the GR Yaris, which is more expensive than we were all hoping ti would be, and Matt talks about the Foton F-Truck copy which we all really like, and Ford Australia confirming the Bronco will not be coming to Australia in any official capacity (we think maybe PerforMax might import and convert to RHD).
