It’s a big day at Vancouver City Council, as Mayor Kennedy Stewart proposed an amendment to the Vancouver Plan.  The mayor wants to see renter protection offered to residents along the Broadway corridor expanded to all renters in the city.  This protection ensures no tenant would see their rent go up if their building is redeveloped.  Our show contributor Jawn Jang spoke with Rob Patterson, a lawyer from the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre, to see if that protection is strong enough and if the Mayor’s plan is actually realistic.
