This week we got to talk with the incredibly talented Alex Fowkes! When he's not shredding the pow, he's traveling the world, painting murals, and working on his next book. He gave us some insight on how the hell he got so good at what he does and how he's able to travel so much. His 2nd book, "Expressive Type" just hit the shelves and we are so excited to check it out! Danielle Evans aka Marmalade Bleue comes on the podcast this week, and we all get exxxxxtra drunkie! Danielle is a killer food letterer with da skillz to pay da billz!! Schin is an insanely talented calligrapher/slot machine designer living in Las Vegas! She gives us the tips for winning it big in the slot machines, tells us what it was like working with Mariah Carey, and how she got into calligraphy. Mary Kate McDevitt is one of the OGs of the hand lettering game! She's an amazing letterer, illustrator, and all around human...it was hard to stop talking to her! Ray was such a little sweetie to chat with! He chatted with us all the way from Wisconsin, so obviously we talked a lot about cheese curds. We learned so much about Ray that we had no idea from following him on Instagram. Like that he used to be a screamer in an emo band (he gives us a taste at the end), that he's very gullible, and what he's got coming up in his freelance life. Mark Caneso Skyped with us all the way from Oregon and let us tell you, he is a little sarcastic firecracker...so we got along really well! He's an insanely talented typographer, letterer, and designer so we were excited to ask him about his background and process! We have a brand new obsession...and it’s Kyle Letender, aka @heykyle! Looking through his website and portfolio, we are amazing at everything he does. He’s probably the most well rounded person we’ve ever talked to…he does everything people! He even does an amazing Australian accent for us! For those of you who have complained that we (and our guests) haven't been drunk enough...you'll be very happy with this one! Stephen is a big deal in the San Diego design community. Before starting his own creative agency, he headed the creative departments at companies like Stone Brewing and USD. If you have any interest in starting your own agency and hiring employees...this is a good one to listen too. We got to interview Stephen in person at his studio and the alcohol was flowing, so it's kind of a crazy one! We get a guest appearance by a rat that scares the shit out of Phoebe! It's entertaining and informative!

We're kicking off 2017 with our youngest guest to date...James Lewis!!! He chatted with us all the way from Wales, people! He's known for his single letter work, but he does a lot more than that. We were really excited to ask about his process and find out where his work is going. He's only 21 years old, but he's a total bad ass and he's killing it over in the UK!

Christopher Craig is probably the most interesting and confusing individual we've ever interviewed and we love him for it! You've probably seen his amazing work on Instagram. We've been inspired for him for most of our lives so it was awesome to get more info on his background, process, and where he wants to go with his design career!
