In July I had an opportunity to host Neill Von Tally and Martlell Webster of Eyrst on the Welcome to the Neighborhood radio show in preparation for the Eyrst Label Launch event. As often happens, at the end of the show more great stories were being told, so I asked Neill if he’d be down to connect for more conversation. He was gracious enough to link the day after the label launch and spoke on how he linked with Martell, what in fact Eyrst really is and what’s up with that dope logo.  So check out the latest episode on Klyph Notes.

Author and journalist Brian Coleman spent some time in the northwest promoting his latest project Check The Technique which features interviews with the artists that recorded some of the foundational, classic hip hop albums. Kenny Fresh has created a space to give the listening audience great content. Through the growing record label Fresh Selects to his weekly radio show Tight Songs. He took some time to speak on his beginnings in the music industry working with his mentor, producer Waajeed to then being a part of the Portland event The Fix and bring artists like Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth and Erykah Badu to the city. His current work via the Fresh Selects label has introduced the masses to artists like Low Leaf and Coultraine. NW based MC and Producer Tope took a minute out of his busy schedule prepping for the release of Broke Boy Syndrome to jump on the podcast. He speaks on touring with Gift of Gab, the process of creating and what next for 2015.
