God asks us to be content without being complacent.  To be content in what we have – the secret to this is being grateful.  What would it take me to live more grateful?

When it comes to God, His simple is significant.  His simple is hard. His simple is radical.  His love for us embraces all of those things.  Not only did He model it for us, but He then calls us to live it out.

There are two ways to think about Hope.  We are either hoping for something, or we are hoping in someone. The ultimate hope is a future orientation built upon a belief in Jesus and the promises of God.  Simply said, “Hope is essential for life!”

Paul scolds the Galatians for deserting the Gospel because some are confusing the people by perverting the Gospel. The heart of the Gospel is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ only.

Peace isn't merely the prize we want to win in our battle against anxiety—it's the weapon God offers us to secure true victory. With the Lord of perfect peace defending us, we are safe to lay our anxious thoughts at His feet.

Freedom from anxiety isn't found in a quick fix... Jesus invites us to relinquish control of our lives, humbly submitting our fears to the One who holds the universe in His hand.

Just because you have made significant steps in your journey with Christ, doesn’t necessarily mean you have arrived. He calls us to review our plans, make adjustments where necessary.

Our desire is to leave a legacy that is beyond our own years. The problem is found when we place our legacy in things that won’t last. Jesus was quick to challenge people to be careful how they weigh, score, and measure their lives on this earth. In a world consumed with the latest and greatest, will your legacy be possessions or people?

God designed us to live in unity, but sometimes our relationships get strained by unsportsmanlike conduct. So often we fail because we allow the opponent to get in our head.   Don’t let them do that – listen to what the Lord instructs us to do.

Boundaries are intended to protect and keep us aware of the goal. When we move outside of God’s boundaries, we easily allow the enemy to gain ground in our lives.

We were never meant to sit on the sidelines. When Jesus calls us to advance His Kingdom, He shows us that God works powerfully through even our setbacks.

So often we find ourselves moving through life with priorities out of order, direction blurred, and expectations on the way life should turn out. When Jesus took his disciples up on the mountain, he gave them the first few steps in where this journey with Him began. Over and over we read His words, “You’ve heard it said… but I tell you”. Jesus was the master at challenging his disciples to live with a fresh start and a new focus.
