Former Queensland Origin legend Darren Lockyer was on the show this morning talking about the Origin game on the weekend. For the first time ever it’s here in Perth and tickets have nearly sold out. Darren Lockyer is pumped for the event as are NNS.  Wannabe Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the UK has proven himself to be a mucky motorist as snaps from the back seat of his Toyota shows piles of litter everywhere. The guys wanted to know if there are any other dirty pigs out there. Shani is a self-confessed pig and Mark lived with a guy who left his containers around for so longer they went mouldy-yuck! And Nat had to bake a cake for a photoshoot she was doing yesterday for The West. She made a delicious lemon and blueberry bunt and as she went to pick the cake up it fell on the floor. Stuart Macleod from Eskimo Joe called in early this morning to talk about their latest gig at Optus Stadium. They are headlining the Origin game this Sunday and are super excited! There may be some new music in the works but they are yet to confirm so stay tuned.  Sir Philip Leitch is the World Champion in Jousting and he even works at Kryal Castle in Victoria. To celebrate Nathan’s birthday the Nova 93.7 team headed down to Meet and Bun in Mount Lawley to celebrate his coming of age. Matt Preston joined the guys wearing his fanciest of pants as well as giving Nathan a white leather belt for his birthday – in the words of Preston ‘You must have a white leather belt to compliment all fancy pants!’ There was a fashion parade with some of the best pants in Perth as well as burgers and milkshakes for all the listeners who came down. Marty Sheargold joined the guys this morning to talk about his come back to the comedy world. He kicks off his latest tour in November and is heading to Perth. He spoke to NNS about why he decided to get back in the game and an insight in to his first experience on stage.  An ABC reporter tweeted to her followers to not put your fingers in a stick blender after she forgot to turn it off. A flight attendant has said the amount of times a customer asks for an upgrade to business class is overwhelming – the usual trick is they pay for one economy seat and one business seat and then say to the air hostess they have been separated from their partner – sneaky! NNS discussed sneaky tricks people try at your workplace. The guys have made it – it’s Friday! NNS were broadcasting from Melbourne today and the show was on fire!   Jonathon Brown joined them in the studio this morning and he was full of energy. He talked about living in Melbourne and his current chicken situation – he needs to keep an eye out for the eagles in his back yard…   Ryan ‘Toadie’ Maloney also stopped by he has been nominated for a Logie! He’s been on our screens for 25 years and has never been nominated before so it’s a pretty big deal for him!   And Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have been bagged out for saying their wedding and having a child wasn’t the best days of their lives…the guys dived in to what topped the best day of your life. It was a jam-packed show today with House Rules judge Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen chatting to the guys before he heads back to the UK. He said he’s most excited to get back to the motherland as he’s got a lot of projects lined up. Fox Sports reporter Daniel Garb is over in London and he’s super pumped after a win for the Aussies last night in the cricket. He also chatted about the tennis and of course the Women’s soccer world cup where the Matilda’s take on Brazil tonight.  Dockers player Hayden Ballantyne also called all after his almighty win yesterday – his new hobby is horse racing and his horse snagged the win – who knows he could be the next Winx.  And more than one-thousand homes North of Perth were left without power the other day after two magpies were caught making love on top of the powerlines. BREAKFAST CLUB DAY!  The legend himself Eddie McGuire joined the guys in the studio this morning and he is celebrating twenty years of Hot Seat. What’s even more exciting is that auditions are being held in Perth this weekend – so if you think you’re a smarty pants apply now.  Jess cooked up a storm for breakfast club serving the guys heaps of Italian food. NNS had homemade pizzas, cannoli and stuffed olives – her Nona will be proud! A man has moved in to Lleyton Hewitt’s old house in Adelaide and he’s getting heaps of people knocking on his door asking for Lleyton’s autograph. Bob Murphy joined the guys this morning to talk about Season Two of his show ‘Bob’. He combines his love of AFL and music to create some quality TV time. The show kicks off tonight on Fox Footy at 8.30pm. A lady posted a photo on social media of what she thought was the perfect house warming gift. She thought a glass container filled with a dozen eggs was the ideal present. The guys dived in to puzzling presents and apparently, there’s a heap floating around including Bridgette who received a gardening tool, Belinda’s nan gave her some boxes and Mel’s sister is still unsure about a toy she received as a child. And an article has revealed Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband don’t live together full time. Announcer Ross also told NNS his wife Bella doesn’t cook for him even though they live together. The guys friend and educator Maggie Dent stopped in the studio this morning, she took four Perth callers and kicked off the morning talking about aggression in smart kids, dealing with kids and anxiety issues and how to stay motivated after an injury. She has a new podcast out called ‘Parental as anything with Maggie Dent’ where she gives the very best advice on parenting. Steve Butler joined the guys later in the show and of course it was a cracking weekend of sport. The Ash Barty party erupted after she became the first Aussie to win the French Open since 1973. The guys are back after a lazy long weekend!  They kicked off the show with Fox Sports commentator Julian De Stoop and his take on the sacking of Carlton coach Brendon Bolton. He was awkwardly sitting next to him when he got the flick. NNS wrapped up the week with Eagles superstar and soon to be dad of two Chris Masten. Baby number two is due October 10th – dangerously close to the end of the footy season. He’s feeling good as he’s playing for the Eagles in the WAFL this weekend. The Eagles take on the Western Bulldogs this weekend at Optus Stadium. Shaun stopped at the petrol station this morning to get a drink, after he paid he had to wait for the attendant to let him out. What he didn’t realise was that there was a button right next to him which opened the doors to freedom even quicker – doh! Amber had trouble getting her daughter out of the toilet and Peter was stuck at the shops for a very long time after his car decided ‘not to work’. Today on the show the guys chatted about a man in China who put his arms out to catch a toddler who was dangling from a five-storey apartment block, he softened the toddlers fall but knocked himself out in the process. Former Australian professional tennis player Sam Groth chatted with the guys ahead of the French Open. He said the Aussies should do well coming off a win yesterday. Although he’s not a massive fan of the French open he reckons they have some of the best ball boys and girls in the world.  Australian comedian Troy Kinne chatted with the guys earlier this morning about his new show ‘Kinne tonight’ which is on at 9:30pm. Being a comedian he’s naturally funny right? The show does sound like a good one to tune in to. A man in Sydney has been filmed cycling through a busy tunnel with a child seated in front of him. This morning’s show kicked off talking about little old Queenie. She was filmed yesterday using the self-serve check out in a food shop for the FIRST TIME EVER.
