In our Dr. Lisa session yesterday, I didn't get to find out how your sense of humor worked, what you were thinking or not thinking. And I never felt like I cracked the code of how human relationships work in your world. My sense is that you are truly rewarded by your many pursuits, but that they may have precluded deeper relationships with other people (romantic and otherwise). But wtf do I know, I have no training! I learn a lot about porn from Porno Jim. Jim found out about porn at age 10 watching a video with a pal. Porno Jim is also polyamorous. This leads to a multi-level conversation about porn - Jim's childhood - and how to manage sleeping with a group of people (it's a lot of work!). I had an amazing session with Alison and got a sense what it might be like both good and bad to be brought up in a family where people expressed their anger. I wish that I had a small portion of Alison's fearlessness but it can get you arrested too.

Message body Shawn Gallagher is a talented artist with a really good job as well as being highly functional and pretty brilliant. I wanted to know why Shawn was so enthusiastic about being on the show but so "lazy" (resistant!) about about promomting his work. Shawn is living proof that you can be brought up by a single mom, not really know your dad and still feel loved and ok with the world.
