36: Cassius Butts| A New Perspective on How The SBA Can Help Grow Your Business

He has worked with several elected and appointed officials including Mayor Kasim Reed with the city of Atlanta. He is also the recipient of many national, regional, and local honors and awards. In 2011, he was appointed by President Barack Obama and is now responsible for the delivery of the SBA programs in eight states, namely: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. During his appointment, he has managed three record-breaking years with the SBA landing nearly $12 billion in SBA backed loans that were awarded to small business within those eight states.
