Looking Back At Lost

We have to go back!?  This week, Matt looks at LOST episode 3x23, "Through the Looking Glass, Part 2." The podcast discusses hope (Danielle seeing Alex, the phone call for a rescue) and the lack thereof (Ben's claim that the freighter folk are bad, and flashforward Jack slipping further into addiction and depression).

The podcast discusses the quartet of lousy birthdays experienced by Ben, as well as the dark vengeance he exacts upon his father.  Also discussed is perhaps the scariest moment of the series: the first visit to Jacob's cabin.

It has arrived: Sawyer and the real Mr. Sawyer in the same room in this fantastic episode..  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x19, "The Brig." The podcast reflects on the long road to Sawyer's revenge, the shortcomings of the "get someone else to do it" Locke, the first indications of sneaky Richard, and the camp's distrust of Jack.

After reflecting in the second anniversary of the LOST finale, the podcast discusses devilish Desmond, deciding between death or ducking when it comes for Charlie and an arrow with his name on it; also explored is the heavenly flashback Des who ponders the Lord... and wine.

To trust or not to trust: that is the question!  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x16, "One of Us." The podcast discusses Juliette's inner motivations, the devilish Ben, Jack being wrong (again), and the most ominous mention (thus far) of the great and powerful Jacob.

Grab your handcuffed pal, spot the smoke monster, and run!  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x15, "Left Behind."  The podcast discusses the anemic flashback, the pithy Sawyer story, and the joys of Kate and Juliette handcuffed to each other!

Nikki and Paolo die... but is this a truly great episode?  YES!  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x14, "Expose."  The podcast argues that as standalone episodes go, this one is top notch, as it has dark humor, great twists, and ultimately tweaks the nose of the audience.

Pride cometh before the fall: this week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x13, "The Man from Tallahassee." The podcast discusses Ben's machinations, Locke's island plans, and Terry O'Quinn's fantastic flashback acting.

Is this one of the overlooked great episodes?  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x12, "Par Avion." Marking the midpoint of the series, the podcast discusses Claire's darkly touching flashback, her earnest on-island attempt at hope, and the first of many Patchy deaths.  All told, it's a great episode.

Speak Russian?  Play pingpong? This might be the episode for you!  This week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x11, "Enter 77." The podcast explores the truth in Mikhail's lies, Hurley the table tennis terror, and goofy old Locke who blows up stations... again.

Daddy issues here, daddy issues there: this week, Matt looks back at LOST episode 3x10, "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead." The podcast discusses the hole in Hurley's heart left by dear old dad, the van as a symbol of healing, and "Roger WorkMan" as a reminder that not all problems heal.
