A letter has been sent to Premier Kathleen Wynne from Andrea Horwath urging her to support the Eastgate portion of the LRT. In the letter, she says that the debate is “reaching a tipping point” and that residents in Hamilton “need to know you will not cause this to be a missed opportunity”.   Guest: Andrea Horwath, Leader of the Ontario NDP.

With the comments in regards to Eastgate Square yesterday, could we see some councilors change their position? NDP leader Mulcair says that Trudeau’s assertion that he wants things to be fairer is ‘abject hypocrisy’ and that amnesty should be given on charges for small amounts of pot. Comments by a local MPP suggest that the province is open to discussing the Eastgate extension for LRT. Will this appease the anti LRT councilors? Guest: Larry DiIanni.
