    30/08/2018 Duration: 49min

Before kick off there was a sense of anticipation as to what the starting line-up would be. After all, 22 years without silverware, Evertonians were anxious to see how strong Silva would go. Silva made eight changes. Injuries to certain players surely contributing to his decision making. Even Sandro, on the verge of a loan move back to Spain got a run out. Everton fans didn’t see that one coming. Perhaps neither did Sandro. In the end, it didn’t matter. Despite conceding a late goal, yet again from a set-piece, the Blues looked relatively comfortable throughout. The win and progression into the next round, was all that mattered. As always, there is plenty to discuss following a game. A mixture of fast flowing attacking football combined with a hard work ethic has been overshadowed by those two incidents. Frustration isn't the word.A feisty podcast to say the least, the lads discuss and debate whether Richarlison and Adam Smith should have both received red cards on Saturday afternoon. This debate took a strange turn when former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer waded in with his opinion after our host, Ian Croll disagreed with his comments he made on Match of the Day.
