    Dorothy Forstein was a 40-year-old wife and mother living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On the night of October 18th, 1949, Dorothy went missing and was never seen again. Dorothy's daughter claimed that she saw a stranger enter their home and carry her unconscious mother out the front door. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious disappearance of Dorothy Forstein. Dorothy was married to a man named Jules Forstein, who was a judge. Some theorized that someone was upset about something that happened in the courtroom and decided to take their revenge by hurting Dorothy. Police went back and forth about whether they believed Dorothy's daughter's story that she had seen a man carry her mother out of the house.     In 1989 two toddlers, Christopher Dansby and Shane Walker, went missing from the Martin Luther King Jr. Towers Playground in Harlem. Their case remains unsolved, and the boys have never been found. There were some other missing children that some believe could be connected with the disappearances of Christopher and Shane. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Christopher Dansby's and Shane Walker's disappearances. In the beginning, the police did not believe that the two were connected. But, eventually, they came to believe that a connection was possible. Eyewitnesses gave descriptions of a man in each disappearance. Some theorize that both boys were abducted as part of an illegal adoption ring. It was a tragic end to the life of a young boy who was loved by many. He was personable and friendly, traits that earned him many friends. Questions remain so many years after his death.     On September 20th, 1988, Tara Calico went for her daily bike ride. She never came home. Thirty-four years later, the disappearance of Tara Calico remains unsolved. Tara was 19 years old when she went missing. She was independent and bright, seemed on a positive track in life, and was loved by friends and family. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance of Tara Calico. Many people saw Tara on her bike ride that day, but no one saw exactly what happened to her. Some people insist they saw a truck following her. The bike she was riding that day was found along with a Boston cassette tape that belonged to Tara. The emergence of a polaroid photograph that we discussed in episode 72 of this podcast plays heavily into this case. Many people, especially Tara's mother, believe that the girl in that photo is Tara.   • The Deaths in Devil's Gulch

    In August 2021, an entire family went missing after going on a hike in the California Sierra Mountains. All would be found dead, even their dog. Each had apparently died where they were found, with no apparent cause of death. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious deaths of Jonathan Gerrish, Ellen Chung, their one-year-old daughter Miju, and their dog Oski. Because the authorities took some time to release an official cause of death, theories online were rampant, and they ranged from poisoning to a lightning strike. In the end, it was determined that all died from hyperthermia, but many people are not convinced of that finding.   • The Lava Lake Murders

    In April 1924, three fur trappers from Bend, Oregon, were found floating in the recently thawed Big Lava Lake. The men were attacked and were fatally shot. The three trappers were 50-year-old Ed Nichols, 35-year-old Roy Wilson, and 25-year-old Dewey Morris. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious Lava Lake murders. One suspect was arrested but never convicted of the three murders. The Lava Lake murders remain one of Oregon's oldest unsolved cases. Much of the evidence pointed towards this man named Charles Kimzey, who was wanted for serious crimes in many states. But, by the time police caught up to him, many of the witnesses were no longer certain about their identifications.     In December 2007, Nancy Bochicchio and her daughter Joey were found dead in Nancy's SUV in the parking lot of a Boca Raton, Florida mall. An unknown individual kidnaped Nancy and Joey. Nancy was forced to withdraw money from an ATM, and she and her daughter were fatally shot in the backseat. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss this unsolved murder.
