For our third episode of the Pilot Program we talk about the pilot for a very famous and popular series, Seinfeld! In this case, we talk about how different the pilot was from the show that most people would come to know, and how some shows when they first start can give little indication of the iconic hit they will end up becoming.

On this episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, we see the first introduction of the Cardassians to Star Trek canon, as Captain Picard tries to maintain the delicate ceasefire between the Cardassians and the Fedaration after a rogue Starfleet Captain who happened to be Chief O'Brien's commanding officer during the war, begins attacking Cardassian ships. For our second episode of the new spinoff podcast, we're talking about 2 pilot movies intended to go to series that never got picked up, both different reworkings of the same basic premise, created by Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry during the 1970s when nothing was going on with Star Trek and Roddenberry was looking for his next project. The first, Genesis II from 1973 and the second Planet Earth from 1974.

For Part 4 of our Decades Series we go back to 1980 for the Western The Long Riders, the story of the James-Younger Gang, with the interesting gimmick that each set of brothers from the historical story is played by a set of acting brothers.

In this series we will be talking about various TV pilots from throughout television history that catch our interest as things worth watching and discussing, it some cases this may be a show that goes on to a solid run with some success, in other maybe obscure oddities that never even went to series, All we can say is it won't be anything too obvious or recent, This series is all about exploring the past and the interesting world of television pilots!
