By all accounts, the Carolina Panthers will select Alabama QB Bryce Young with the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday evening. It's unclear whether Young was always the pick or if the Panthers arrived at that conclusion following the past month and a half of evaluations but the consensus is that come Thursday he'll be a Panther. Julian provides a few thoughts on the likelihood that Young will be the franchise quarterback by the start of the weekend.The Panthers have an opportunity early in the second round to select an impact player who could contribute from Day 1. Initially, Julian believed that that player should be a WR but recently the need at EDGE has become more apparent.
