As we turn our attention to Daniel 9 we spend our first week looking at Daneil's prayer, the rich theology found in it, and see how it reflects the Mosaic covenant and foreshadows the New Covenant to come though Jesus Christ.

In Daniel 8 we see Daniel being given a vision about a Ram with lopsided horns, a Goat with a large horn between its eyes, and a small horn that grows up. In this we see a prediction about Persia, Greece, and a strong ruler that lifted himself in opposition to God, and learned that is not a good idea!

There are several titles in Daniel's 1st apocalyptic dream, but their imagery isn't immediately clear. Bro. Zach looks at the interpretation given by the angel in the dream to help us understand the point of this text.

As we look at Daniel 6 we see that there is a new king, and a new kingdom in town. However God quickly proves He is still in control as Daniel faces a trial-by-ordeal in the lion's den.

In Daniel 5 we see the last co-regent king of Babylon (Belshazzar) looking for a fight with God. He gets one, but ends up wishing he hadnt!

In Daniel 4 we see the great heights that king Nebuchadnezzar made it to during his life, we see how he got there (by God's hand) and how God humbled him in order to show the king, and all people, who is truly in charge.

As we look at Daniel 3 we see a great reminder that, no matter what person, place, or thing we are tempted to worship, God Himself is the only One worthy of our full attention, devotion, praise... and we see 2 reasons why that is so!

In Daniel chapter 2 we see how the wise men let the king down, a prophecy that the king and his kingdom will eventually let them down, but we also see a God who knows all things who will never let you down!

As we look at the narrative of Daniel 1, centering around the Fantastic Four (Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) not eating the kings rations, we see that God has no less power in Babylon than He does in Jerusalem!

We look at the major players in the book of Daniel, the nations, kings... where they are, why they are there. And we are also reminded of the beauty of the Gospel as we see a picture of the wrath that we deserve, that Christ took in our place!

As John ends his letter he shares several reminders that bring great calm and assurance to Christians, and that should bring a great sense of urgency to those that are not.

On Easter Sunday we go through the first 17 verses of John 20 and try to relive the grief and the joy felt by John, Peter, and Mary on that first glorious Easter morning!

As we look at the death of Christ we see the omniscience, sovereignty and love of God. We also see the obedience, glory, and love of Christ. Both should make us rejoice greatly!

In John 18:33-37 we see Pilate's trial and questioning of Jesus. Jesus' answers to Pilate's question tell us a lot of things that help us to understand Him and His mission here on earth.

Before we received the Lord's Supper together we looked at 1 John 4:7-21 to see John showing us several amazing thing's about God's amazing love!

In 1 John 4:1-6 John calls us to "test the spirits" as he reminds us that many false prophets and teachers are led by "the spirit of the antichrist" rather than the Holy Spirit.

In 1 John 3:19-24 John gives us another test of true Christianity and helps us apply this to times when we doubt whether God could love or accept us.

in 1 John 3:11-18 John once again calls us to love one another, but this time gives us examples of what this looks like, and what it doesn't. He also makes clear to us where this love comes from. Hint: It isn't from us mustering it up inside of us!
