Ava founded the Southeastern Film Festival in 2013 with a group of filmmakers to promote independent film distribution in smaller towns in the South.  It is the festival’s third year in progress, we have over 1900 submissions from 52 countries in just 3 months, surpassing the entire total of entries in 2015 in just three months.   The first event for 2015 took place in Dahlonega, Georgia and we screened 45 films from 24 countries over a long weekend, our next event will be in Nashville in May of 2016.   This year the festival has screened 80 films from 24 countries, our next event will be in Nashville in November of 2015.   Ava Leigh Stewart is a prolific artist who specializes in creative development for film, television, and web.  Stewart launched her film career after earning a film degree in London, England. Ron Aprea is extremely accomplished in his field for a guy who didn’t know what a saxophone was when he first started out. That’s right – one of the most talented (yet somehow under the radar) saxophone players around thought he was going to be playing clarinet. Ron grew up in Astoria, NY and clearly remembers seeing Pete Fountain playing the clarinet on television. Inspired to play, Ron went to his elementary school band director, Mr. Cahill, and asked to play  what he thought was Pete’s instrument, a saxophone.So that’s what the school gave him. Thommy Price is a rock musician from Brooklyn, New York. Rose Hartman, whose work has been published in Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, and Vanity Fair, has been granted the kind of celebrity access in her 35+year career that most photographers can only dream to have.
