After spending three seasons on the Fairmont State basketball squad, Newman joined the football program in the spring of 2009 and made an instant impact. A three-year starter for the Falcons, the West Virginia native has been a staple at cornerback and had 8 pass deflections, to go along with two interceptions in 2012 as teams avoided his direction. The immovable TJ Barnes from Georgia Tech is one of the top nose tackle prospects for the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft. Fresh off his all-purpose performance in the Raycom All-Star Game, Navy running back Gee Gee Greene dials in to the NFL Draft Bible Player Spotlight Show to discuss his nostalgic caeer for the Midshipen. While returning kicks, serving as a threat catching the ball out of the backfield and averaging a remarkable seven yards per carry for his career, Greene accumulated over 3,500 all-purpose yards, while appearing in 50 games over the past four seasons. Beavers defensive tackle Andrew Seumalo, a team co-captain, arrived at Oregon State as a walk-on before working his way into the defensive line rotation and eventually earning a scholarship. Seumalo finished his career with 77 tackles, including nine tackles-for-loss and 5.5 sacks. He blocked two kicks and recovered a pair of fumbles as a junior. Fresh off his Casino Del Sol All-Star performance, Seumalo joins host Ric Serritella in this edition of the Player Spotlight.

“I know I can be drafted and can play in the NFL. I know the talent that I have.” Those are the words of a determined Greg Reid, who looks to re-establish his once highly-thought of draft stock. He kicked of his career with a boom at Florida State, earning freshman All-American Honors. In 2010 he guided the Seminoles to a win in the Chick-fil-A Bowl over South Carolina and was named defensive MVP. During the 2011 season he busted out on special teams, returning kickoffs and punts. Everything was on the up and up, until he ran into an off-field incident, which led him to transferring to Valdosta State. After enduring a knee injury this past year, the Georgia native is on a mission to prove that he is back and better than ever. We shine the spotlight on Randy Richards, who started every game this season for the Bears at right tackle and carried out a 98-percent assignment grade in 2012, with 56 knockdown blocks. After being voted Offensive Lineman of the Year as a sophomore in 2010 at College of the Sequoias in California, Richards went on to star at Missouri State earning AFCA All-American Honors. Weighing in at over 300-pounds, the Florida native displays tremendous athleticism and agility, a testament to his experience as a three-sport star in high school in Florida. The NFL Draft Bible profiles Kyle Quinn, who is on location in Los Angeles for the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Under new head coach Rich Rodriguez, the offensive line, led by Quinn, transformed into one of the most dominating units in the Pac 12 and led to a national rushing title for running back Ka’Deem Carey. His leadership earned him team captain honors, in addition to All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention, despite missing three games due to an ankle injury. This past season Quinn dealt with the adversity of his first serious injury during his playing career. He quickly rehabbed and was able to make it back in time to lead the Wildcats to a thrilling 49-48 victory over Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl. The Arizona center takes a quick timeout before practice to share with us his all-star experience and preparation for the NFL Draft in this edition of the NFL Draft Bible Player Spotlight.

Fresh off his all-star performance in the Casino Del Sol Game, San Jose State defensive back James Orth checks in on the Player Spotlight Show. Orth had a key interception and broke up another potential touchdown in the end zone to help the West team outshine the East squad 40-7 in front of the 70+ scouts and NFL execs who attended the game. It's been a wild ride for Orth who finished up his Spartan career with a big win over Bowling Green in the Military Bowl, as San Jose State finished the season ranked No.21 in the nation with an 11-2 record. The California native came to San Jose State as a wide receiver and converted to safety, collecting nearly 200 tackles and eight interceptions, while making numerous big plays before moving on to his next journey.
