We are back with another comic book series review and this time we are going to the lovely realm of FRANCE for a very cool and beautifully drawn action adventure superhero-ish story with MANY a pop culture twistDon & Oldboy are on the mic for the review and again it's another CRITICAL discussion that may ruffle some feathers as generally this one is pretty well praised across the board but does not seem to get that widespread attention both our hosts feel this series deservesDon, in this particular case has some hard gripes with the story, in fact we decided to spilt this conversation in two and HIDE the spoiler section in the YouTube video card above so you will need to click that link if you want to hear Don's explanations on said quibbles in detail!

Today Don & The Katface Killah get into a long overdue discussion over a long running shounen fighting title that has struggled for years / decades to get that mass awareness it probably could have done  and after this conversation we may have finally figured out why  :/

For the last Doc for our playlist for 2016 we scrambled across the internet to look for something that is pretty unanimously praised and in that search we came across this seemingly silly documentary about a journalist investigating 'tickling competitions' online - but during that investigation there are some disturbing revelations that have given this movie a certain level of notorietyA weird but interesting one that is many best documentary of 2016 lists... does it deserve that placement though.... hmmmm  -_- 

Due to a copyright strike our ORIGINAL FOTNS video got we decided to take it down, RE-EDIT it and also give it a more deserving visual makeover for a GLORIOUS REUPLOAD!!!Guys, you know, there would be no JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE without FIST OF THE NORTH STAR and although this conversation is a few years old, there has actually been very little development with the franchise on a whole and this conversation still holds up very well... particularly after more editing  :)So enjoy our VERY IN DEPTH talk about one of the GREATEST anime series of ALL TIME!!!        .....YOU ARE SHOCK!!!!!!!

Today after a while Donald tackles a newer anime title with this particular movie getting ALOT of buzz and even OSCAR talk but our Donald seems a bit perplexed about the fanfare....  let's get into it  :)

Today Donald finally gets to an animated series that probably deserves a lot more credit then it actually gets in the legacy of animation and tv sitcoms in general - this may have been the animated show that started a different type of animated show when you think about it...the truth is, not many people even know of its existence in todays landscape ...if YOU have and you're reading this, why don't you leave a comment down below and share your thoughts :)

For this year on Planet Tyro's 2016 edition of CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION DAY MONTH we will be taking a look at all the solo focused movie releases by the american stop motion animation studio - LAIKA ENTERTAINMENT(i say solo release work as sometimes they have contributed their talents to movies such as Corse Bride which will not be included in our list)We will actually be starting the discussion with their most recent release Kubo and the two strings and then working our way backwards all the way to their first release 2009's CoralineSo yeah, this isn't a super detailed breakdown or a super critical analysis - its  just Donald's thoughts on each movie in reverse order from a 2016 point of viewIf you've seen this movie or any of the others i will be mentioning please feel free to leave a comment in the chat section below and lets discuss!

This doc of the month also ends this years #CIAD project and we've got something much more serious than we usually do for discussion in this video Here we have a documentary focused on the many cases of wrongful imprisonment in the United States and a certain organisation which has made it their task to try to correct such horrendous circumstancesWe chose this doc in particular to end animation month as the director actually uses a very distinct and dramatic form of animation to help form the narrative and bring a much deeper level of emotion to these terribly unbelievable true eventsThis is not an easy documentary to find, but we are very happy we got our hands on it and to also share our thoughts on it with the community and hope it gets more awareness as it is certainly worth the watch for its actual message as well as its interesting art direction which really makes it stand outPLEASE WATCH THE DIRECTOR AND BEHIND THE SCENES VIDEO HERE - https://vimeo.com/46978427

Today we get into a very interesting book series that combines possibly the 2 biggest things of popularity in current pop culture..THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE AND SUPERHEROES!We have many thoughts on this so check it out......

Taking a slight detour on our Lupin retrospective, i want to talk about the Fujiko Mine series before i get to Jigen's Gravestone as that movie is a spinoff from this series universe and i just wanted to take this moment to explain my thoughts on the overall franchise at this particular point in the history of Lupin's production

Last month we spoke about a documentary dealing with the failings of the American prison system and ironically this month ...not like we planned it btw - but this month, Netflix dropped an even more impressive and well executed doc looking into the same prison system but takes it's investigation even deeper and has MASSIVE REVELATIONS that tie into slavery, corruption, politics and SADLY so much more...  

Marvel & Netflix are back at it again with another highly anticipated live action adaption of a cool street level superhero and this time we have something really special to dig into... the ORIGINAL hero for hire gets the silver screen treatment in its first 13 episode runDon Wunder & Simeon Rad get into the usual critical discussion that may have some fanboys ready to destroy Planet Tyro once and for all!
