We got a pretty good pick to actually CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION DAY with hereThe Animated / Rotoscoped tale of Vincent Van Gogh's life and death is a bit more heavy of an experience than expected from watching the trailer... however, that does not take away from the story ultimately and there is alot to admire here from conception to execution - however, as always i do have to offer some criticique overall, so once again get ready for an honest discussion about a very inspired movie!

Truth be told we have avoided talking about the Death Note franchise in it's entirety for years since there is already a plethora of reviews and discussions online and we really didn't feel the need to make another video in the humongous over-populated pile for this extremely popular franchise....and now we have recently been graced with this US Netflix live action adaptation which promised to BREAK THE CURSE of anime - western live action adaptation failures....well ....now we have a justified reason to have a Death Note convo... albeit, a while after it's release ...and sadly, we strangely surprised and unsurprised how this actually turned out when all is said and done  So yeah.... let's get this franchise talk out of the way once and for all!

Continuing our Ralph Bakshi Retrospective we actually get to the first movie completely created by Bakshi from a writing AND directing perspective ...and it really is a TRIP of a movie @_@...let's talk about it!

This year for #CIAD we want to do a lil retrospective look at the works of acclaimed cartoonist / film director Ralph Bakshi On THIS video our host Donald Wunder goes through his previous knowledge / experience with Bakshi and also describes how we will be tackling the retrospective in individual videos to follow through the rest of the year As mentioned in the video this endavour canot be done in the usual depth we like to tackle as others but we still wanted to go through Bakshi's works as this is a long time coming and we really want to get this one done while we still have the time! Today we get to the superhero event of the year - the marvel / netflix character lineup get together in their first group outing as THE DEFENDERS... and honestly it was a somewhat disappointing experienceTune in and see what Don has to say about it!

Today Don gets into a discussion on what is being called the best romantic comedy of 2017?  .....hmmmmThis movie turned out to be very familiar territory if you guys have been following our recent reviews :P

This months documentary selection has been a massive festival winner for a while now and seeming that we are currently experiencing a summer end at the time of this video an opposing climate seemed quite fitting for discussion!

A couple years back Don reviewed a very controversial movie that had good intentions - NOW this movie has a sequel tv series brought to us by netflix and it is possibly even more controversial than the movie - so this time Don decided to get an alternative opinion on the discussion to weight the pros and cons of this show, what it is actually doing and how sucessful it is at actually spreading it's messageThis one is kind of ranty but the bottom line is we DO LIKE what they are attempting to do with this show... with a few major criticisms  -_-

Don brings us a movie review for a much beloved Hip-Hop icon that has been getting generally bad reviews... but here Don is possibly coming in as the voice of reason in a much more casual discussion Sadly, even being less critical than most didn't seem to stop the movie ultimately disappointing our reviewer here -_-
