David Silberkleit is Branford, Connecticut is known as the CFO, Chief Frogeye Officer at Bugeye Guy, the Bugeye Sprite Specialists. While in high school he bought his first Bugeye Sprite, way back in 1978. Fast-forward to 2007 when David founded the website bugeyeguy.com. Today, that’s where he buys, sells, builds, and restores these wonderful little British cars. In 2015 he built one of the world’s only gold metal concours Bugeye Sprite and that car was certified at the Gettysburgh Austin Healy Club Enclave. Along with cars David has a parts business as well, where he helps other Bugeye owners keep their special cars running and looking their best.

Nick Dawes is the Vice President of Special Collections and Head of Automobilia at Heritage Auctions in New York. He has over 40 years in the business of antiques and is a specialist in bespoke mascots by Rene Lalique. After growing up in England, he has lived in New York since 1979, following a career as an antiques dealer, auctioneer, author and university professor, and a former auctioneer and Department Head at Sotheby’s.  Nick is the author of four standard works on decorative arts, most recently 'Bespoke Mascots' with photographer and past Cars Yeah guest Michael Furman.  This definitive book on the subject includes Michael Furman's photographs of all Rene Lalique glass mascots.  Nick says he "got into the automobile world through the radiator cap".  He is familiar to many from over 20 years of regular appearances as an expert appraiser on 'Antiques Roadshow' for PBS.

Andre Bezuidenhout is an avid Porsche enthusiast who has been collecting, racing and admiring Porsches for over 4 decades now. His career is that as a Barrister in Johannesburg, South Africa and he’s practiced law his entire adult life. It was his time as a child visiting Kyalami and watching Derek Bell, David Piper, Dave Charlton, and others race that ignited his passion for cars. He’s been involved in the Porsche Club, Motorsport South Africa, and is the President of the National Court of Appeal of Motorsport South Africa. Andre has raced extensively as an amateur over the years and he is currently on an epic world tour in his 911 T/R, and should be soon in the US to attend a few classic car events.

Mike Dunn owns Vintage German Motorcycles in Riverside, California, a business he started over ten years ago. He is one of the most respected restorers of WWII German motorcycles in the United States including BMWs, DKWs, and Zündapps. As owner/operator of the premier Zündapp Import, Sales and Service operation he is responsible a good amount of Zündapps now in existence in America. His motorcycle restorations are best of show winners and have appeared in movies and on television including Valkyrie and the History Channel. Mike travels to Europe to attend the annual Zündapp Tour and he has ridden over 8,000 km on vintage German bikes throughout Europe.

Nathan Risch is the content Manager for The Retail Performance Company where he manages all customer experience content for BMW of North America. His past career experiences includes time at Callaway Golf, a BMW Blog contributor, and as Editor and Digital Content Management at BMW CCA Roundel. Nathan’s parents both raced hydroplanes which no doubt led to his passion for all things that go fast. Jason is a die-hard BMW fan who joined the club at 18 years of age and participates in autocross and HPDE events and as a driving instructor for the past 5 years.

Tom Stahler is the owner of Total Recall Media in Orange County, California. He is an automotive journalist, writer, photographer, and contributor who, at eight months of age, sat in a baby stroller in Thunder Valley and watched Chuck Parsons and Skip Scott win the 1968 Road America 500. Tom has earned many awards, including the Motor Press Guild’s Dean Bachelor Award and the International Motor Press Association’s Gold Medal for his writing and photography. Tom used to race a Porsche 968 and when not chasing the next story, Tom enjoys driving other people’s race cars in vintage road racing events.

John Benton is the owner of Benton Performance in Anaheim, California. He is a famed Porsche 911, 912 and 356 builder and restorer who prepares these iconic old Porsches for the road, the concours lawn, and for racing. His builds compete in events including historic racing and the immensely difficult La Carrera Panamericana race in Mexico, and the Peking to Paris event in Europe. John’s been wrenching on Porsche for over 33 years with the goal to create original stock cars to modified and racing applications unlocking the Porsche’s true potential. What’s John’s mantra? Saving The World One Porsche At A Time.

Steve Darnell is the creative force behind Welder Up, an automotive shop in Las Vegas, Nevada where they build some of the wildest rat rods ever created. Beyond cars Steve also creates short films, music videos, and creative-man interior designs. Fueled by the desire to prove the naysayers wrong, Steve has always been determined to exceed everyone's expectations. Originally from Montana, Steve is a rancher turned car-artist and has built Welder Up into a very successful business. He refuses to compromise on his cars, expecting perfection out of every build and everyone on his talented and unique team. Paul Ehrmann is an author whose latest book, Arc of Triumph, is emphatically a novel with automobiles at its beating heart: And it is the culmination of a passion for motorcars Paul has embraces throughout his life. While he’s worked for production companies as a script editor and a screenwriter, writing is Paul’s passion and he combines his talent with his love for the Bugatti marque. This novel is about the French Grand Prix drivers and their involvement in the Resistance during World War II. Arc of Triumph is based on the true story of these brave and selfless efforts to defeat the Nazis during their occupation of France. This is Paul’s first novel and the publisher is Coachbuilt Press where past Cars Yeah guest Michael Furman is attempting to create their first iBook.

Eric Peterson is the Manager at Leydon Restorations in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Founded by Chris Leydon in 1973, they preserve and restore classic and vintage engines. Eric’s passion for art and crafts took him to the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he earned a degree in Industrial Design. He worked as a designer where they manufactured class rings exposing him to modern manufacturing technologies including 3D design software and CNC programming of machine tools plus injection molding and 3D modeling. He’s raced a Datsun 510 in the GT3 class in SCCA on tracks including Elkhart Lake, Brainerd, and Blackhawk Farms. After meeting Chris Leydon Eric joined Leydon Restorations where he and their team combine their talents with a passion for automobiles.

Philip Richter is the Founder and Publisher of Turtle Garage, a weekly journal focusing on collector cars and vintage motorcycles. He periodically writes for Sports Car Market magazine and is a vintage automobile and motorcycle collector. Philip is also the President and Co-Founder of Hollow Brook Wealth Management in New York City. They are an SEC registered independent wealth management firm that serves families, foundations, endowments, pension plans, and individuals. Philip enjoys horsepower from a different source and he is an avid equestrian show jumper and has campaigned his horses on the “A” show circuit for over three decades. He serves as Treasurer of the United States Equestrian Team Foundation and sits on the Board of Directors of the Lake Placid Horse Show, Hampton Classic Horse Show, and the Unites States Equestrian Federation.

Rod Buscher is the Founder and CEO of Blinker, a free mobile app that empowers people to buy and sell their cars easily, safely, and privately without a need for dealerships and the banks. He is a 30+ year veteran of the automotive industry who made national industry news with the sale of The John Elway Dealerships to AutoNation in 1998. In 2007 Rod established Summit Automotive Partners, an organization of 20 successful franchises employing a thousand professionals. He has created scholarship foundations for underprivileged youth and serves on the board of Colorado Uplift and has been honored by the University of Colorado, The Governor of Colorado, and people Magazine for outstanding community services.

Bruce Sweetman is a freelance automotive writer and photographer. He's a contributing editor and photographer at Road Scholars Magazine, Excellence Magazine, and the 356 Registry Magazine—and he’s a frequent contributor to Porsche Panorama and Autoweek Magazines as well. His stories and photographs have appeared in numerous publications including Road & Track and Total 911 in addition to fine automotive books. Bruce’s clients include Automobile Manufacturers, Museums, and Private Owners. He makes his home in Nashville, Tennessee and on the Northern Oregon Coast.

Peter Nam, is the founder and CEO of Vorsteiner, a company best known as a global leader in providing advanced and innovative products for high-end luxury vehicles including Lamborghini and McLaren. Recently, Peter incorporated his 14 years of experience at Vorsteiner to create Gunther Werks, a new company that specializes in using modern technology to develop its Porsche 993 400R Project. The team at Gunther Werks has worked tirelessly to retain the driving experience offered by the original 993, while updating it with the most cutting-edge technology available today. Only 25 examples of the Porsche 993 400R Project will be produced, all hand-built to each customers specifications with no two units being identical. I had the pleasure of seeing one of these builds while at The Quail last summer and it is spectacular.

Howard Freers is a retired automotive professional and enthusiast who spent over four decades between the Chrysler Corporation and the Ford Motor Company. His career included roles in engineering, powertrain systems, electrical engineering, and many other titles as Chief Engineering and in executive roles. Howard is a Society of Automotive Engineers Fellow, a Distinguished Senior Member, an Engineering Society of Detroit Fellow, Eminent Engineer – Tau Beta Pi, and has an Honorary Doctor of Engineering via Rose Hulman. He is also a Trustee and Board of Managers – Rose Polytechnic and Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Howard’s son David Freers is a past guest here on Cars Yeah.

Morgan Brady is the Team Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Core Autosport. He is also the Managing Partner for Composite Resources. By combining his expertise as a leader in composite manufacturing and running racing teams Core won IMSA Championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2014 Core Autosport was awarded a contract from Porsche to operate all of the German brands top level racing in North America. That partnership resulted in Porsche winning the IMSA Manufacture Championship in 2014 and 2015. In 2016 Morgan expanded his sites and he acquired an interest in Composite Resources and he is focused on transforming the business in to the premier Tier-3 composites supplier to the aerospace industry.

Wayne Long is life-long car guy whose love for cars started at the early age of 2. He would accompany his family to the SCCA races to support his Uncle who raced a Bug-eye Sprite and later a Fiat OSCA. As Wayne entered the teenage years he quenched his thirst for competition by racing Motocross. By the time Wayne finished college, and started working as a Civil Engineer, he had switched from motorcycles to cars and began Autocrossing. Wayne spent 21 years practicing Engineering before he finally got his opportunity to enter the automotive industry. Opening Mid-Atlantic Sports Cars 10 years ago, Wayne and his childhood friends, Rick and David Biafora, chased their dream. Since becoming a full-time automotive junkie Wayne has become a regular on the national auction circuit buying investment cars for his high-end clients. In addition, Wayne has become a Concours judge supporting events such as the Cortile at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as well as the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and he is the Executive

Boyd Coddington Jr. grew up in his father’s hot rod shop and wheel factories learning every lug nut and bolt of the companies using the time-tested methods of “hands on / bruised knuckles”. He expanded the company’s product line helping to grow Boyds Wheels in to the largest custom billet wheel company in the world producing nearly 220,000 wheels annually. After the untimely passing of his father in 2008, Boyd acquired the Boyd Coddington trademarks and brands and started an aftermarket design studio and brand licensing company. In 2014 he founded Boyd Coddington Detail Garage, a high-end line of professional/enthusiast car care products. Carrying on his father’s hard work, dedication, and inspiration Boyd continues to grow the Boyd Coddington Companies.

Peter Gleeson is an automotive enthusiast whose passion for cars began when he was a child growing up in South London and trips to Brands Hatch to see the races. From his meager beginnings Peter learned hard work, and over working, would get him where he wanted to be. After years of success in business, Peter has put together a unique and eclectic collection of automobiles that he shares through concours events and clubs. He has an incredible array of BMW Motorsport race cars, including the Peter Greg, Frank Stella Art Car, and the memorabilia that fits the era plus a wide variety of other marques and some bikes as well. I found Peter on the Lawn this year at Pebble Beach with his magnificent 1928 Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8A S. For Peter it’s about the art, the story, the history, and the people behind the cars.
