Cars Yeah With Mark Greene

The Ring brothers, Jim and Mike, have owned and operated Classic Auto Body in Spring Green, Wisconsin for more than 20 years. Their collision repair shop gets owner’s cars back on the road and it’s also a place where some of the most spectacular and creative handcrafted builds in the world emerge from. They also produce a line of billet accessories as well as fiberglass and carbon fiber body panels. Their builds have garnered a General Motors Best Chevrolet of Show award at SEMA and back-to-back Goodguys Street Machine of the year awards.

Jason Godsil attended the Art Institute of Portland. In 2000 he founded Godsil Performance that morphed in to Exotica Motorsports in 2006. Next came Elite Carbon in 2008 where he built carbon fiber replacement parts for Ferraris and Lamborghinis along with body kits for other exotics. In 2010 he started Godsil Motorcars with a quest to create super luxury V16 vehicles. He’s a car designer who enjoys restoring, racing, autocross and high speed driving on road courses.

Howard Mackert is the owner of Mac Auto, Mackert Automotive in Gig Harbor Washington. He started his business on September 15, 2001, three days after the 911 tragedy. Earlier in his career he spent 9 years in GM dealerships as a tech manager and field engineer helping resolve issues their 1-800 hotline couldn’t solve. He then trained independent diesel shops in electrical theory and electronic control systems. Born in 1955, the same year the small block Chevy was born, Howard’s always said, "Being a car guy was the way it would always be."

Kyle Neal is the Marketing Manager of Partnerships and Events for Royal Purple, the world’s leading lubricant company. He currently spearheads all planning activities from concept to execution for automotive and sponsored racing events. He designs and builds display vehicles, trailer programs, and booths to promote product awareness and customer interaction. Kyle also creates Cause Marketing for Royal Purple’s sponsored youth programs. He was an integral part in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl, the Red Bull Global Rallycross partnership, and their Indianapolis 500 sponsorship with driver Townsend Bell. Peter Hageman is the chief judge for the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance. He inherited his love of vintage cars from his father, acquiring his first car, a 1927 Packard, when he was just thirteen years old. He has been a regional Chairman of the Bentley Driver’s Club and a judge at numerous concours events around the world. Peter was on the forefront of the now popular preservation class concept in automotive collecting and he serves on the selection committee and is the Chief Class Judge in the Preservation Class at the Pebble Beach Concours. He is one of the Founders of the Kirkland Concours, sits on the advisory committee at the LeMay Museum, and he attends events all over the globe including concours, rallies, and tours. His son Paul is a past guest here on Cars Yeah.

Art Smith has been in the automotive business since 1986. He spent time with Volkswagen and Lexus and the last 13 years at Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo, North America’s oldest Ferrari dealer located in Portland Oregon. Now retired, he refuses to leave the world of automobiles and now cares for the late Ron Tonkin’s collection of over 50 cars, 25 of which are Ferraris including his first, a 1967 330GTS, 4 super cars, a 288 GTO, an F40, F50, an Enzo, Daytona Coupe, and a Spider not to forget a 1953 212 Vignale. The Ron Tonkin legacy includes their sponsorship of the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance that takes place every July on the Pacific University campus east of Portland, Oregon.

Neil d’Autremont operates Sidedraught City in Portland, Oregon. He’s a guy who’s career for 25 years was in insurance, medical bio-informatics but has turned to his passion for automobiles. In 2012 Sidedraught City was born where he runs a small store and a big shop he shares with master aluminum body restorer, Curtis Patience. There they specialize in selling car care products and racing accessories. Sidedraught City is a proud sponsor of the Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance that takes place on the campus of Pacific University in Oregon.

Paul Morrissette is the President of Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency, the division of the Chubb Corporation that works with many of America's most important car collectors on their insurance needs.  Chubb is a proud sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, the California Mille, Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance as and other prominent shows and rallies across the country. Paul has been with Chubb for 26 years, and has held various leadership positions in the United States and Canada.  He is a member of the Classic Car Club of America, the MG Car Club of England, and various car registries. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, 3 daughters, and spends his spare time in the garage with his 2 MG's.

Eric Peterson is an entrepreneur, a father, and car collector in Portland, Oregon. Along with his wife Eric has built a small collection of mostly European sports cars. The Peterson’s founded Dream Drives for Kids and they use their cars to bring joy to children who are currently undergoing treatment for a variety of childhood illnesses. Their goal is to provide children with joy by taking the focus off of doctors and disease and putting it on Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Mercedes, and more. César Pieri who was born in Brazil is heavily influences by his Italian family heritage and culture. While his career has contributed to being able to live around the globe his heart belongs to Lucca (Tuscany). He takes a multicultural approach to his passion and career in the automotive profession and lifestyle. He has been a professional automotive designer for over 13 years and currently spends a majority of his time in England as the Creative Design Manager at Jaguar’s Advanced Design Studio. Additionally César enjoys drawing and painting. One of his unique approaches to painting is to use the actual hoods of automobiles as a canvas that then become wall hangings in homes, garages, and galleries.

Andy Cohen founded Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories in 1975. The emphasis was to offer enthusiasts the highest quality, exclusive accessories, for the world’s finest cars. Neil Jaffe is the President of Chequered Flag in Marina del Rey, California. Chequered Flag International was established in 1986. Pete Aylett is the great-grandson of a London carriage maker. He had a 25 year career as an automotive design engineer with British, German, American, and Japanese car companies. He worked for Ford and Lotus in England, Mercedes in Stuttgart, GM in Detroit, Nissan, and Mazda at the advanced design studios in California. Thirteen years ago he founded his own company:  Car Art, Inc. - selling art by renowned car designers, fine artists, and photographers.  Today, he represents 80 artists from 20 countries in the world’s largest online car art gallery, with 1,300 artworks of 130 different marques.  Peter is a member of the Motor Press Guild and a past member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Industrial Designers Society of America.

Louise Noeth is a storyteller known for taking complicated subjects and making them entertaining and educational. She founded LandSpeed Productions in 1984 where she provides film and TV consulting, photography, writing, graphic design, and more. Her award-winning works have been published around the world. Dubbed LandSpeed Louise she concentrates on land speed racing and people who do extraordinary feats by designing, building, and driving fast cars, trucks, and motorcycles. She’s one of the few women journalists in the automotive field who’s also comfortable and competent behind the wheel.

Ben Hsu is co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Japanese Nostalgic Car, the first North American publication dedicated to classic autos. Ben has singlehandedly raised the notoriety and appreciation of cool Japanese cars through books, his website, and live events. Since its founding in 2006, Japanese Nostalgic Car has become the premiere resource for not just the cars, but the culture surrounding these marques. The JNC brand also extends to apparel, accessories, and the JNC logo even appears on Hot Wheels cars produced by Mattel.

Mike Pennington is the Director of Training and Consumer Relations for Meguiar’s, the world’ leading surface care company. He oversees the company’s technical training programs and Customer Care Center. He also works closely with their R&D department to help study and develop car care products for Meguiar’s. He heads training for outside sales staff and conducts a wide variety of hands on classes to teach and train users on the entire Meguiar’s surface care brand.

David Carl Peters of Design Tech Graphics has been graphically designing cars for the biggest names in drag racing. Since starting his business in 1988 his graphic paint schemes have adorned over 1,200 cars and earned more than 100 “Best Appearing Car” awards. His client list is the who’s-who on the drag strip. Additionally David is a fine-art airbrush artist creating hundreds of limited-edition prints. His art and design in the drag racing world is now being compiled for publishing and these days he’s turned his eye towards the world of aviation ar

Chris Anthony is an entrepreneur who’s created numerous ventures and businesses. He is the founder of Epic Wake Boats, a recognized leader in the sport boat industry. His companies include: EndLis Energy, a sulfer grapheme batter technology company, Flux Power an energy storage system, Apter Motors, manufacturer of the world’s most efficient commuter vehicles, Epic Boats a leader in resin infusion composites, WakeWorx a wakeboard and boating accessory company, the Epic Torque Roadster, and several others in the finance and brokerage industry. Chris continues his pursuit of world changing innovations that can both increase efficiencies and enhance the way people are transported and live.

Raffi Minasian is a widely published automobile designer, illustrator, writer, historian, Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Class Winner, and professor at the California College of the Arts DMBA program. His twenty+ year career includes aircraft interior design for Boeing, toys for Mattel and consumer products for Honeywell, Polaris, and Rainbird. He’s designed cars for Toyota, Subaru, Moal Coachbuilders, and The Franklin Mint. His work has been featured on numerous automotive television shows and he has achieved the “Award of Excellence” from Car Styling magazine and was part of the design/build team for the 2005 Americas Most Beautiful Roadster “Sedeuced”. Raffi has authored articles for numerous automotive magazines and his specialty manufacturing business has made thousands of reproduction parts for rare collector cars for over 20 years.

Derek Hill, a Santa Monica native, comes from an automotive family that has left their marks around the world. He is the son of America’s first World Driving Champion, Phil Hill. Derek is most recently known for his work as a precision driver/actor in GM’s launch of Cadillac’s new ATS. Derek pursued a career in motorsports for over ten years, taking class wins in the Daytona 24 Hours, Sebring 12 Hours, and many others driving for the factory BMW M3 team. He’s working on a film documentary about his father’s life and is a judge and MC at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance where his father won years ago. He’s an active vintage racer participating in the Le Mans Classics, Goodwood Revival, and the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
