Mostly Nitpicking

This week on Reckless Speculation, we are talking to everyone at special guest Jay Van Buiten's Super Bowl party. We have at least ten different bits of Reckless Speculations that span from Marchawn Lynch's future in football to the halftime show to whether someone is or is not an obscure video game character. And yes we did technically put this up before the game. So if anything here is right, here is proof that we are magic.

It's not TV. It's Reckless Speculation! This week we sit down with fellow podcaster Nick Berrios to talk about the best network in all of creation, the Home Box Office or HomeBO for short or HBO for shortest. DJ thinks HBO will be forced to put Game of Thrones on hold until the new books are written because no one has ever stretched one 300 page novel into three two hour long movies with all kinds of new dwarf/elf love triangles and forty five minutes of f*@king Radagast! Nando thinks Westworld will grow faster than the mega hit Game of Thrones thanks to a production team that includes J J Abrams, a man known for quality television that comes to a satisfying conclusion. Nick thinks that True Detective Season 2 will start strong and fizzle once audiences realize that the second guy is Collin Farrell.

Big week guys! Big week! We are one week into our Craziest Captain bracket. The amount of votes we are getting is kinda insane. We bring back frequent quest and fellow podcaster Nick Berrios to go through the results of the first round. Nick even knows who some of the guys are! Not all but some. We have a bunch of crazy upsets and the next round of match ups is even crazier. We also go through some Oscar predictions in the beginning because we lack self control. It is clear that 2015 is going to be the biggest single year for movies since possibly 1994. We have assembled Nando and DJ, along with faithful guest Chris Diggins, to speculate about some of the possible successes and failures that we can look forward to this year. Obviously mega hits like Avengers and Star Wars will be great but what about some of the smaller films? Will Mad Max have a strong enough start to reboot the franchise? Will Pitch Perfect 2 sour Anna Kendrick's popularity? What on earth will happen with Fox's Fantastic Four reboot? All of these questions and more will be answered on this week's Reckless Speculation.

This week DJ and graphic designer Michelle Coraci sit down to talk with one of the Captains from our Craziest Captain bracket. Digger Harkness a.k.a. Captain Boomerang stops by to give us some insight into his boomerang themed process. He gives us a behind the scenes look at the recent drama concerning the Suicide Squad movie. This week we have graphic artist Michelle Coraci on to talk about more Crazy Captains. We take a closer look at the round one match ups between the Space, Sea, Superhero, and Other divisions of our Craziest Captains bracket. Some patterns emerge. Are all of the space captains intent on killing their crew members? Are all of the superhero captains incredibly insecure? All of those questions and more will get answered this week.

Oh Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done. The Greatest Conspiracy Theory bracket is over and we are staring our new bracket this week. We bring on actor/comedian Chris Diggins to talk about who we think are the Craziest Captains. We have Captains from the four major Captain divisions; Space, Superhero, Sea, and Other. Apparently, not only was Paul McCartney killed in a car accident in 1966 and it was covered up by the Beatles BUT Paul McCartney chose to, as a ghost, come on Mad Bracket Status to talk about the truth with DJ and Caroline. He talks about the conspiracy, the afterlife, and all kinds of other stuff. Its great.

This is it! This week we finally finish the Greatest Conspiracy Theory bracket once and for all. Will is be 9/11 Truth? Will it be the Moon Landing? It will be the Moon Landing. They win. This week we talk with legendary singer and songwriter Stevie Wonder. We talk to him about his blindness and the conspiracy theory that he is, in fact, not blind at all! He debuts some of his new singles that may or may not be supplemented with some subtle clues to whether he can see or not.

This week DJ is totally checked out! He and Nando welcome Ethan Crump back to the show. We talk about some of the recent SONY controversy and we reveal the Final Four in our Greatest Conspiracy Theory bracket.

This week friends of the show/Star Wars nerds George Blazeski and Alex Lee join Nando and DJ for Reckless Speculation. They all give their reckless theories on the forthcoming Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens. Also they make fun of the Jets a little.

This may be our most incredible interview ever. Jesse Ventura, host of Conspiracy Theory, stops by to sit down with DJ and George Blazeski and talk about the Illuminati but little does he know that all is not what it seems. Some of our hosts have secret agendas that will blow your minds.

Emily wonders about Firestorm's introduction. Kevin thinks a main character is going to die soon. We welcome back the voice of Mad Bracket Status, Jackson Kelly, back to go through the first round and discuss some of the competitors. We go into depth on the moon landing, Stevie Wonder's blindness, JFK's assassination, and the pyramids.

In this week's interview segment, DJ and MBS guest Nick Porcaro sit down with famed astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson. They discuss conspiracies and the moon landing but mostly the $400 that Nick's dad, Ken Porcaro, owes NDT. Apparently Neil Degrasse Tyson's whole career has been an elaborate scheme to get that $400.
