Service led by Jane Blackall: "When we attempt to understand a text, particularly a sacred text, its meaning may not always be immediately obvious to us. The process of understanding things that other people have written down, particularly in a different time and place, invariably involves some sort of interpretation. In this service we will dip a tentative toe into the world of hermeneutics - the theory of interpretation - and consider how its insights can potentially enrich our religious life.
