David Halperin - In the 1960s, David Halperin was a teenage UFOlogist. He grew up to become a professor of religious studies—his specialty, religious traditions of heavenly ascent and otherworldly journeys. He taught history of Judaism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1976 through 2000. He’s published five books and numerous articles on Jewish mysticism and messianism, and one novel, Journal of a UFO Investigator, which draws on his teenage dreams and fantasies as well as the UFO scene of the early 1960s. Charles I. Halt is a retired United States Air Force colonel and the former base commander of RAF Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, Suffolk. After serving in Vietnam, Japan and Korea, he was assigned to Bentwaters as deputy commander. The Rendlesham Forest incident of late December 1980 occurred shortly afterwards.   In the late hours of December 27, and early December 28, 1980 then Lieutenant Colonel Halt led a patrol to investigate an alleged UFO landing site near the eastern edge of Rendlesham Forest. During this investigation they witnessed several unidentified lights, most prominent of them being a bright flashing light in the direction of Orford Ness. In January 1981 Halt composed an official Air Force memorandum listing details of the events. The memo was then dispatched to the Ministry of Defence. Barry Greenwood has pursued the UFO topic since 1964. He has served as an investigator and state section director for Massachusetts MUFON for ten years. He specializes in researching government documents in the late 1970s which lead to the 1984 publication of Clear Intent written with Larry Fawcett. Brenda McClurkin works with the Special Collections at the University of Texas at Arlington.  Part of that collection is tens of thousands of photographs taken by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram over the decades. She has worked with several people in an attempt to read what we all call the Ramey Memo, which is a document held by Brigadier General Roger Ramey in his office on July 8, 1947. It was a series of photographs taken by Fort Worth Star-Telegram Photographer J. Bond Johnson after the newspaper was alerted to the flying saucer debris was being sent from Roswell, New Mexico. In one of the photographs, Ramey is holding a document that is turned slightly toward the camera which can almost be read. Brenda was instrumental in getting permission for a team of researchers, using the latest equipment and technology in to attempt to read the memo. Without her help and support, none of it would have happened.

Kevin D. Randle has, for more than thirty-five years, studied the UFO phenomena in all its various incarnations. Training by the Army as a helicopter pilot, intelligence officer and military policeman, and by the Air Force as both an intelligence officer and a public affairs officer, has provided Randle with a keen insight into the operations and protocols of the military, their investigations into UFOs, and into a phenomenon that has puzzled people for more than a century. Robert Sheaffer is a writer with a lifelong interest in astronomy and the question of life on other planets. He is one of the leading skeptical investigators of UFOs, a fellow of the well-known Committee for Skeptical Inquiry and has written the Psychic Vibration column for its publication, The Skeptical Inquirer for over thirty-five years. Rob has an undergraduate degree in physics and spent his career at the US Patent and Trademark Office working on intellectual property in a number of areas, most importantly in aeronautics and astronautics. (Ironically, he said since the latter includes circular aircraft, he can state he worked on flying saucers for the government.) His UFO involvement goes back to 1968 during what he called his larval stage, when ongoing sightings and the University of Colorado UFO study permanently nailed his attention. Once he arrived in the DC area with the PTO, he joined the Fund for UFO Research and subsequently was elected to the executive committee of that organization. Around 2006 as the Fund wound down due to the rise of the Internet and other factors (it still exists as an organization, however, although at the moment it's largely dormant), he was asked to join MUFON's board of directors, and continues to serve there to this day.

John Greenewald Jr. was born on April 17, 1981 in Tarzana, California, USA as John Raymond Greenewald Jr. He is a producer and writer, known for Unsealed: Conspiracy Files (2012), National Geographic: Hitler and the Occult (2007) and Secrets of the Freemasons (2006). He is best known as the creator of The Black Vault, a web site that houses thousands of UFO related documents obtained through FOIA from dozens of government agencies. He had been the master of ceremonies at many UFO related conferences and symposiums and is one of the leaders in the UFO community.

Rob Mercer was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. Rob worked in engineering at a nearby hospital. His interest in UFO's and Astronomy began when he was about 7, when his uncle Terry came to came to their house telling them about strange lights he saw in the sky on his way home from work one night. He asked Rob’s mom if he could come with him, and we went back out looking for them on that same night. They were unable to find them, but from that point on Rob was hooked on the subject. Rob would also read and watch everything he could find. Terry had a telescope, and would come over to their house with it often since they lived out in the county where it was dark.
