Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 4/6/17
06/04/2017 Duration: 30minDFSR's Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA pod to discuss a smaller slate of NBA action. This late in the season there are still a few teams playing for the playoffs and seeding, while others are actively tanking. The Magic are in a great spot tonight against the terrible Nets and basically Orlando's entire starting five is in play for cash games. Aaron Gordon likely becomes the chalk play of the bunch, but you can consider all of the Magic tonight. Jimmy Butler, Giannis and Karl-Anthony Towns highlight the big money plays tonight and it should be fine fitting in their salaries with some other value rounding out the slate. All of this and more on DFSR's NBA pod. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/30/17
30/03/2017 Duration: 30minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA to discuss a five game slate of NBA action for FanDuel and DraftKings. For such a short slate there are a bunch of bad defenses going like the Nets, Suns and Lakers. The Pistons have some value highlighted by Ish Smith if Reggie Jackson were to sit again tonight. He’s still coming rather cheap on both sites considering he should see a lion’s share of the point guard minutes. The Timberwolves are also in a great spot against a bad Lakers team with Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Gorgui Dieng all looking solid for cash games. There’s some blowout rid though which you’ll want to be mindful of. And finally they discuss what should be a high octane game between the Rockets and Trailblazers and whether James Harden will be a chalk cash game play. Learn more about your ad choices. Tuesday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/28/17
28/03/2017 Duration: 44minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to a Tuesday pod to talk a packed night in the NBA. The game of the night is clearly the Warriors and the Rockets. James Harden likely becomes a big money chalk play on a night with a ton of value in other positions. The guys discuss how to view Harden, if Eric Gordon and Lou Williams get more minutes and whether we see big run out of the Warriors’ big three in Curry, Klay and Draymond. Other value creeping up comes from the Hawks against the Suns with Tim Hardaway, Taurean Prince and Ersan Ilyasova all still coming cheap for high minutes’ upside. They also discuss Devin Booker and Tyler Ulis for the Suns. All of that and more in a game-by-game breakdown of Tuesday in the NBA. Learn more about your ad choices. 24/03/2017 Duration: 01h04sDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a huge night in the NBA. They start with a discussion on why DraftKings may have left off the two 10:30 games from their main slate and how that could show a change in how the industry views NBA injury news. After that, there’s an embarrassment of riches in terms of value tonight with a bunch of big money guys in plays matchups. James Harden leads the list, taking on a New Orleans team that he lit up for 70+ fantasy points just last week. Demarcus Cousins also makes for an interesting play in this game, coming off a huge performance last time out. After the the guys discuss the value you get with some Pacers facing the Nuggets, Jimmy Butler’s safety without Dwyane Wade, How some blowouts could effect player minutes and what to do with the Atlanta Hawks. Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/23/17
23/03/2017 Duration: 31minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis break down a five game NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. The two most interesting games, from a DFS perspective come early with Toronto-Miami and Brooklyn-Phoenix. The Heat will be without Dion Waiters again which puts Goran Dragic, James Johnson and Josh Richardson firmly in play. Toronto will be without a suspended Serge Ibaka leaving (potentially) more shots for Demar Derozan, PJ Tucker and Cory Joseph. The guys also break down a Suns-Nets game that should see Tyler Ulis, Devon Booker and others with big upside against a terrible Nets’ team. All of this and more. Learn more about your ad choices. Wednesday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/22/17
22/03/2017 Duration: 39minDFSR’s Doug Norrie takes to a solo pod to break down an eight game Wednesday slate in the NBA. The first question to ask is whether we should pay all the way up for Russell Westbrook after his disappointing games against the Warriors on Monday. OKC is big favorites against the Sixers in a game that could turn into a blowout early. Other games to focus on include the Hawks and Wizards. Atlanta is still without Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore, leaving plenty of minutes for guys like Tim Hardaway, Ersan Ilyasova, Thabo Sefolosha and Taurean Prince. John Wall also makes for an excellent DraftKings play. There’s all of this an more as DFSR breaks down every game. Then Doug jumps on with NoHalftime’s Bruce Elliot to discuss their app and how it provides a great way to get away from salary-cap contests. Learn more about your ad choices. Tuesday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/21/17
21/03/2017 Duration: 50minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the pod to discuss an eight game slate in the NBA for FanDuel and DraftKings. The obvious team to start targeting is the Detroit Pistons facing the woeful Brooklyn Nets. But can you trust their minutes? They discuss the mystery of Reggie Jackson’s minutes and whether he’s actually a safe play at $5,000 on FanDuel. Then there’s Andre Drummond, KCP, Morris and Tobias Harris in contention against the best DFS matchup on the board. They also break down whether Goran Dragic is chalk, over priced, both or neither against the Suns. He was a popular play last time and could be again tonight. James Johnson falls into the same category tonight without Dion Waiters. All of this and much more on an interesting night in the NBA. Learn more about your ad choices. Friday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/17/17
17/03/2017 Duration: 57minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take a deep dive on an eight game NBA slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. The big story today is injuries to some key players. Dwayne Wade is out for the rest of the season meaning Jimmy Butler gets a major bump in expected usage and Rajon Rondo likely seeing continued huge minutes at the starting point guard. Also, Isaiah Thomas will sit for the Celtics putting Marcus Smart in as the starter. He’s likely a chalk play with the rest of the Celtics seeing moderate usage bumps against a dreadful Brooklyn team. They also spend time discussing what to make of the Pelicans tonight against the Rockets in a game that features the highest over/under of the evening. Then at the 45:20 mark Doug jumps on with Chris Durell to talk this weekend’s NASCAR Camping World 500. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/16/17
16/03/2017 Duration: 32minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take to the NBA podcast to discuss a six game slate of games. There’s a ton of injury news to digest coming this early. Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler all sitting out tonight. That’s going to open up a ton of value from that game in particular. Will Barton, Juan Hernangomez and Marreese Speights all come in as strong value plays. Additionally, Kristaps Porzingis will sit for the Knicks opening up usage considerations for Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose and Willy Hernangomez. All seem like solid plays against a dream matchup in the Nets. There’s plenty of other news, notes and matchups to discuss on a full NBA podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Wednesday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/15/17
15/03/2017 Duration: 28minDFSR’s Doug Norrie takes to solo NBA discussing a full Wednesday in the Association. The big story tonight is fading the blowout. Teams like the Spurs and Rockets are in very solid matchups, but come in with big Vegas lines on their sides. We’ll have to make some decisions about whether we think those starters see the fourth quarters in their respective games. Other pieces of news out there include Nic Batum sitting again making Jeremy Lamb likely a popular play again and Kemba Walker seeing a solid boost in expected usage. Then there’s the teams trying to tank like the Lakers, Suns, Kings and how we determine their projected player minutes. All that and more. Learn more about your ad choices. Tuesday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/14/17
14/03/2017 Duration: 32minDFSR’s Doug Norrie and James Davis take a look at a five game schedule in the NBA. The major piece of news we’ll be waiting on today is how weather could effect the games in Brooklyn and New York. With a snowstorm there we could see these games postponed. Stay tuned for that news. Outside of that major waiting game, there’s solid value on this slate. If everything goes off without a hitch then you likely see Russell Westbrook and Victor Oladipo chalk plays against a defensively-deficient Brooklyn squad. Then the guys the discuss Lebron and Kyrie's minutes, if you can trust the Pistons' guys at all and whether to fade the blowout in Golden State. Learn more about your ad choices. Then there’s Nikola Jokic and Danilo Gallinari who are dealing with sickness and vertigo respectively. Their statuses will cascade down the the projections with the entire Nuggets team. There’s also the Spurs taking on the Thunder with Kawhi Leonard likely coming in as a chalk play across both sites. Monday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 3/6/17
06/03/2017 Duration: 35minDFSR’s Doug Norrie returns to the podcast to discuss a huge Monday in the NBA. There are 12 games on the slate and it’s already looking like value all around for both FanDuel and DraftKings. He goes game-by-game discussing the different cash options and how some injury pieces will possibly effect the value in different players. Some of the more interesting games include the Knicks and Magic with the latter finally seeing more consistent minutes from their starters. Vucevic sitting again would also open the door for Bismarck Biyombo to put up major minutes on the very cheap. Another game to target is the 76ers and Bucks with guys like Dario Saric, Richaun Holmes, Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon looking like values. Finally, the Rockets and Spurs should be a fun one to watch and we could see big minutes out of Kawhi, Harden, Aldridge and Gasol to name a few. All of that and more for a full Wednesday in the NBA. Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/23/17
23/02/2017 Duration: 33minDFSR’s Doug Norrie takes to another solo NBA pod discussing the first day back from the All-Star Break. It seems like we never left. Today’s a really interesting one considering it’s also the trade deadline and we could see some players on the move from the games going down this evening. It will mean monitoring news and making adjustments on the fly. Obviously the big piece of speculation for tonight is how Demarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis fit together on the Pelicans. While almost definitely making them a better team, it seems like a “wait and see” approach is prudent for projecting either player. Doug also takes a look at the Kings’ possible rotations, how the Nuggets could be at full strength and what that does to minutes and how the Magic might make for interesting DFS value. All that and more on the DFSR NBA podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Thursday NBA DFS Talk for FanDuel and DraftKings - 2/16/17
16/02/2017 Duration: 23minDFSR’s Doug Norrie takes to a quick Thursday NBA podcast to talk about a small two-game slate for FanDuel and DraftKings. Even though it’s only two games there’s still plenty of DFS relevant issues to discuss. The major one is whether or not Dwayne Wade plays tonight. His availability effects the projections for just about the whole Bulls’ team, Jimmy Butler most notably. But there’s also Michael Carter-Williams and some other bench pieces to consider as well. The Wizards-Pacers game has plenty to consider with really all five of the Wizards’ starters in play. John Wall and Jeff Teague are likely cash game chalk tonight though guys like Otto Porter, Paul George and Bradley Beal make for solid options in the middle-upper tier. Indiana has a couple possible punt plays with Kevin Seraphin and Glenn Robinson III as well. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Some of the more in depth looks come with how Cleveland looks to matchup up against the Pacers tonight and if Channing Frye can replicate last night’s performance. There’s also talk about how Serge Ibaka fits into this Raptors’ offense and whether the void left by him in Orlando opens up value for guys like Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier even in a bad matchup against the Spurs. There’s also Giannis and Michael Beasley taking on the defensively inefficient Brooklyn Nets, Frank Kaminsky drawing another start for the Hornets and what to make of the Denver Nuggets coming off a huge win against the Warriors.
