The DFSR team is back with a game by game breakdown for Wedneday's NBA DFS slate on FanDuel and DraftKings.  The guys start by reflecting on some of the weird situations with huge ownership on back-ups this year, and then jump into some interesting back-up options for tonight in Cheick Diallo and De'Anthony Melton. As of now there aren't a lot of obvious punt plays jumping into the forefront, and these back-up options make it a little easier to get the excellent big payoff guys we're looking at tonight.  The best payoff in the DFSR system is Luka Doncic, who just summarily destroyed the Pelicans with 18 rebounds through three quarters. He's the highest floor guy in the game right now since Middleton rejoined the Bucks, and looks like a great option here. The slate is far too big to get into a lot of the specific plays, but the general strategy tonight should be very interesting. Is it a nice to prioritize high floor, low ceiling players like Fred VanVleet and DeMar DeRozan? Doug Norrie is flying solo on the DFSR NBA podcast, breaking down the FanDuel and DraftKings plays for a bigger slate. The slate might start and stop with the Rockets and Nets who open with a crazy 241 over/under, 20 or so points higher than just about any other game on the slate. It makes sense considering how fast these two teams play and how little defense they employ. There are other interesting games as well with the Lakers playing the Mavericks and the Spurs going against the Stephen Curry-less Warriors.

Without a lot of obvious cheap plays going tonight, we need to find value where we can get it, and it isn't going to be easy. The big question we have to ask ourselves in the early season is when we can trust small sample sizes. The guys believe that James Harden will go back to being the same super-efficient scorer he has been in the past, for instance, while also being somewhat concerned about Mike Conley's start to the season. They trust the growth we've seen from Brogdon and SGA, but are not as sold on Karl-Anthony Towns continuing to shoot 50%+ from three in perpetuity. NBA Season is back and the guys are getting into FanDuel and DraftKings lineups and pricing for the two-game slate. It's a fun one with plenty of starpower as well as some new situations to try to make sense of before the games tip-off. They break down the Pelicans-Raptors game with the former playing without Zion Williamson for the next 6-8 weeks. The generational rookie will need surgery to repair a meniscus issues. Chris breaks down some of the history with Augusta, how the course plays and what specific stats he’s targeting in his DFS and Betting PGA models this week. It’s obviously a popular week for both in golf with the major and you’ll need to wade through some of the top names. He discusses Rory McIlroy as the clear favorite but also looks at some of the other popular names like Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Paul Casey and more as either buy low or sell high golfers going into this week. There’s a ton to discuss as Chris breaks down this week’s Masters tournament.

Unlike Opening Day, there seem to be fewer pitchers to stack against with run lines low across the board. On the mound, they talk about Gerrit Cole against the Rays. Cole made major strides in 2018 with his K rate and peripherals after coming over to the Astros and will follow a dominating performance by Justin Verlander. They also look at German Marquez against the Marlins in Miami and Joey Lucchesi against the woeful Giants.
